Thats exactly what artosis said. Corrupters to own the colo, after the colo are dead toss will only have stalkers/sentries vs the spines. The stalkers will have to spend time killing the spines, the zerg will have to use that time to remax on hydras and zerglings to finish the toss army.
Not saying it would work but it definitely would have gone better than what kyrix did.

I don't think anybody predicted these guys for top 8...I only guessed MC correctly

haha, holy shit. I don't normally like players outside of the race I play myself (Zerg) , but San is sailing up as one of my favorite players. To be fair how can such a terrible player become such a beast all of a sudden ?

Lol. Yeah, I can see that as well. But, I actually think San has improved a shit load compared to the previous seasons. I will say he's good though.
Yeah, I'm just a little shocked to see how much Kisoo's play has fallen since I watched him in beta. He went from high flying beast mode to just plain mediocre. Then again, I can say the same for other beta top players as well, such as Maka. ~_~_~_~

Zerg really needed to start teching up to T3 units earlier with broodlords and ultras instead of just massing up t1/t2 roaches and hyrdas all clumped up together. Baneling drops seem useless against Toss deathballs, they're better off droping them off in the toss mineral line.

Well VODs of the first games are always free with an account, so you can catch those. Most of the games tonight weren't that great anyway. The only person I know who makes VODs got taken out a while ago.

Teching to broods takes a lot of time and gas and if done too fast its way too risky. Against terran, zergling infestor does exactly that - infestors hold off and stall the push to tier 3. against toss, its much harder, especially with blink stalkers.

This GSL season is awful. I stopped playing Starcraft 2 because I got bored of it and got better things to do but now there aren't even any tournament games worth watching because all my favorite players are out

Umm the only way to actually watch the GSL when it isn't live on the stream is through buying the ticket. If you only have an account you can watch the first game of every match though.

I have started to prefer PvP actually, since it doesn't degenerate as much to the dreadful ball vs ball play of the non-mirror PvX, and tend to end quickly. Watching games involving P and games without P are like watching 2 different games, and it makes me so sad.

I had to turn off the games except the TvT mirror. Blizzard really need to do something quick to make watching P interesting. Firstly because it is the race that most people play, and secondly because even when people start switching to T and Z there will still be atleast one third of the games involving P.

After seeing protoss air openings dominate game after game, including my own recently, getting a 4th or 5th queen as quickly as possible really might be the best way to deal with that opening and still be solid against other openings. It's pretty clear that phoenix harass and sniping off a few early hydras really puts a zerg behind.
And the best part about the extra queens is the extra map vision from mass creeps tumors. The other best part is they require zero tech, besides a spawning pool.

I'm almost certain it wouldn't have worked. To make enough spines to have even delayed the push would have required time to spread the creep and make the spines, and at least 1000 minerals, which would cut into the size of the corruptor ball, and anything else Kyrix decided to make - granted, he made tons of banelings, so he probably had the resources to do it, but what would have happened?
My feeling is that he would have traded the corruptors, but remember, the amount he had were not enough to clear the collosus in an all-out battle, they would have been even more useless if the stalkers didn't have ground-units to shoot as well. Then Toss would only have had to make 2 more Collosus (double robo all the way) and go right back to hitting the spines. Toss could also have made more Vrays to support the collosus, so I'm not sure spines are the answer. I'm not 100% sure that there even IS an answer to the situation that Kyrix found himself in. He only had 56 drones, not a big enough economy for the re-max style of play Zerg needs to use to beat the deathball.
The game was essentially over the second that Kyrix lost his 3rd hatch and 2 queens. After that, it was Anypro's game to lose, and you have to be a bad Toss player to lose from that position, something none of these GSL players are. Once a Z falls that far behind against a Toss, the games basically done.
Obviously, Zergs are now going to have to learn how to scout and prepare for this style of stargate opening play from Toss.

Kyrix did hit the proper OL timing to scout the build. On Terminus he was denied, and there are so many places to hide a stargate, thats always going to happen. On Shakeras he was unlucky, I think the OL only missed the stargate by half a screen.

Zergs need to start learning to do what july does - double hatch in the main or natural as STANDARD play.
This allows at least 2-3 queens defending at all times with creep spread from main to natural to prevent against any early air play.
Also it is not safe on most maps to have 3 bases running in the early-mid game. Zerg runs pretty fine on 2 base with 3 hatches, there really is no need to get a third expo when you can just heavily saturate 2 bases like what protoss does.

I thought it was common knowledge that the only way to watch the GSL vods was with a ticket? I'm not surprised you got a trollish answer considering the number of idiots who KNOW that missing the GSL means they MUST pay for the VODs, but still come into these threads posting:
"Kekekekeke, I missed the GSL. I don't have 10 bucks to spend on the VODs (alternatively, their parents don't want to pay for it). Any way to watch these illegally for free lar?"
His answer wasn't even that trollish, it was clear-cut and didn't beat around the bush, he shouldn't have to worry that some kid on teh interwebz is oversensitive to being given an answer straight-up without all the frilly peace-keeping attempts.
