Nada was solid, but not spectacular. He played well and rightfully won. Until he dominates his way to finals or plays some really epically close games and wins he wont be a fan favorite. Not saying he isnt good, but people wont cheer as loudly for someone until they do something crazy.

He should be a fan favorite simply because he's Nada. Did most people here not watch bw I don't get it. Yea skillwise he's not at the top right now obviously, but in terms of fans, he's definitely near the top.

Not to mention the fact that he's one of the most unbelievably solid players under pressure. I'm totally good with him, MC, or July winning.

Really bummed that Jinro lost, though.

HuK and Jinro in Code S. The Liquid Duo gonna own it up next season in Code S! They will help each other build stronger strategy's for their respective races.

July v Nada can't wait :D

Really enjoyed this round, apart from Jinro getting beat up. If only he sent his reaper west instead of south ((

Did Coca-Cola become a sponsor because they somehow found out that a player crushed a Coke can on air and found out about the GSL and said might as well sponsor them?

It's so sad that MKP, MVP and Jinro are all out. What the hell is going on?

HongUn played well in game3 though so no shame to Jinro!

I don't like that Jinro and Clide lost, but everyone advancing feels like a legitimately strong player (ie, not another Rain).

As much as we may hate HongUn for 4-gating so much, and people who 4-gate in general, it is a very legitimate strategy that defines the game on how any vP matchup is played.

Eh, I put HongUn on about the same level as Rain (the guy who took him out GSL3). He hasn't really shown us anything particularly impressive, not that he didn't deserve his wins, but I'd say the same about Rain for his path to the finals (besides vs Nestea)

Dude, dont be biased. Hongun is the one of the most consistent player in GSL and has qualified for every single GSL till now, and has 1 top 8, 1 top 4 , and an assured top 8 with chance to go higher in this GSL. Compare this to other Protoss like Tester, Genius and you can clearly see that in terms of results, Hongun is the most solid protoss, almost comparable to MC (who did very poorly in GSL season 1 and 2).

Yeah posts like the ones you quoted are really annoying. I remember last season when MKP beat Jinro MarineKing was apparently an awful player.

It's fine to root for certain people but bringing down the people that beat them only make your favourite look worse.

Uh, I don't say this because he beat Jinro, I actually expected this result (Jinro's TvP hasn't really impressed me, he's stronger at the mech-heavy MU's).

I only said I put HongUn at the same level of Rain (the guy who took him out GSL3), which is good, but not amazing. If you read the post I responded to it would have made sense.

Finally, judging a player's worth solely on these tournament results is silly, as there's so much luck involved. I mean, even Choya's results are pretty comparable. Going so far as to calling him almost comparable to MC, man...
