Lately I've seen so many games where P goes phoenix harass and then kills terran bioball with colossus. Squirtle won several PvTs with that strategy at IEM. Jinro, if you're reading this, would be interesting to hear your opinion on this strat. Scout the stargate and get marines and turrets before the phoenix are out and killing a lot of your units. It was so effective because Hong'un hid the stargate until it was too late for Jinro to prepare.

Jinro's push in game one had me fooled, I didn't think it had a chance, hongun targeted one of the PDDs with a void ray, really slick move there. If it wasn't close positions I don't think that build has the same success, but that was really smart of him. Shame he lost the round, I thought he'd make it to finals for sure.

I was really rooting for Jinro, but he didn't play at his best in set #3. After building a turret in his main base, besides his barracks, he just left the SCV there. It's not something you on your best day.

O where'd you go... I miss you so Seems like its been forever Since you lost to HungUn (Oh Jinro...) He said "Some days I feel like the swarm" Get grounded and pounded and rounded and worn" I don't understand why you alwaya fall short I get along but I needed your support And, I find myself trying to stay by the PC 'Cause your voice always helps me not to feel so weazy But I feel like an idiot, just a foreigner in the endless expanse But when I watch you I know we got a chance So, I want you to know it's a little fucked up, That I'm stuck here crying, I feel like dying Tellin' Hungun that I'm tired of his 4 gate Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?" Crappy rhyme :p. I'm so sad he lost, I wanted him to go all the way. Next time Jinro!

Otherwise i had a feeling that HongUn would really give him trouble, but i was really wishing for him to advance. The other feeling is... well NaDa is a contender in my book, I only predict MC to take this man down... and that is NaDa has a big chance to bring this Season back down to Terran, i don't see any other Terran with the ability to even go to the ro4. But July vs NaDa is really epic when both of them are performing so greatly.

MC won! Jinro... LOST? NOOO! But Hong is pretty cool too, and very consistent. July won! YES Meh, I like both Nada and Check Also, is it just me or are all of July's wins heavily recommended? Not just this round but generally throughout his SC2 career xD

Seeing people bad mouth HongUn for going 4 gate is pretty brutal. It's a valid strategy particularly against a teching expand build. You simply can't hold a 4 gate when going that route (even a FE vs 4 gate is tough to hold). Game 3 Jinro knew he would be behind after the Phoenix harassement and while he shouldn't have pushed when he did, what's the other option? He saw HongUn's 3rd, didn't have his started, saw Colossus flooding out and if you sit back longer and longer and let Protoss get that ridiculous deathball up (which is even worse with HTs mixed in), it's lights out. About the only thing you can do in that case is get double Starport which leaves no gas for Ghost on 2 base and the HTs were ready to go. In other words, rock and a hard place for Jinro in Game 3...HongUn would have had to royally screw up to lose from being that far ahead .

As much as we may hate HongUn for 4-gating so much, and people who 4-gate in general, it is a very legitimate strategy that defines the game on how any vP matchup is played.

I'm very sad that jinro lost but wow this protoss player has very good micro. That battle at the P third base was very well executed, he totally destroyed the vikings with stalkers, while the collossii did their job. A lot of players are not actually focusing the vikings with their stalkers, oftentimes you see the stalkers unmicro'ed and just shooting the bioball. His high templar control was nearly flawless too. Well played by Hongun. I can't wait for the next GSL season. Jinro <3
