He was still playing WC3 competitively at the start of his SC2 career and he does not come from a strong SC1 background like many of the other korean pros. Moon is not the only former WC3 player who struggled early on. He's obviously making huge strides in his play and now hes showing what hes really made of. We all should realize that there is a pretty big difference in gameplay style between WC3 and SC2. We should all also realize that we are not in Korea anymore. That seems a far more likely explanation given that he just wiped out about a week ago in the first round of the GSL.

We all should realize that there is a pretty big difference in gameplay style between WC3 and SC2. Moon was a solid SC1 player. I pretty much think people are just too hard on GSL code A player. It seems like GSL is so much harder, everytime a random code A player comes out of GSL, we witness a sick play. Having Moon winning IEM does not mean he is better and will instantly GG in next code A (see squirtle in GSTL loosing first round of code A...).
