They should probably chose some more straight up questions for the koreans. I feel bad for the translator when it takes TLO 5 minutes to ask the question...

I agree. As much as I love seeing TLO play, I'd keep him as a commentator and interviewer without a second thought. TLO himself has said he wants to be a part of e-sports and wants to support and help it grow, so maybe?
oh and the translator's korean has a german accent on it. kinda fascinating to hear!
it's Reis, formerly involved in SK-gaming's WC3 team (when they still had koreans; but i think he never quit SK so he's still there doing something) and he also was a translator for much korean stuff both between wc3 teams and ESL events in the past. he's been involved in many tournaments and from what i know he's living in germany since many years (though i don't know wether he's sometimes in korea etc)
I'm 100% sure he didnt want to troll Socke, just that he has no experience what to say to the loser of a match - he likes Socke a lot so its definitely not ill-natured. Maybe they should just Interview the winners like they do in GSL.
I think people simply had WAY too high of expectations for Moon. He was still playing WC3 competitively at the start of his SC2 career and he does not come from a strong SC1 background like many of the other korean pros. Moon is not the only former WC3 player who struggled early on. He's obviously making huge strides in his play and now hes showing what hes really made of. We all should realize that there is a pretty big difference in gameplay style between WC3 and SC2.

NOO. Dont worry your brother is doing fine. No one will take offense at all and i'm sure Socke will take it like man!

Wait, what?
WTF is that, that's so low. IEM is so retarded with those chicks and whatnot.
That's not iem, but please flame your heart out
That's TakeSen, but IEM have chicks making blatant razer marketing. Please.
It's pretty dumb in every way since there are more and more female players in other "male" game like poker. Not to mention it's degrading women.
i dont see the problem at all.
1. its fun. 2. the market is like 90% men 3. this happens EVRYWHERE. i cant walk through the street or turn on the tv without seeing ads with half naked women. its normal and works. 4. degrading women? i will never understand that argument. so whenever a person makes money by looking good its degrading the person? what?
i jsut cant understand how a person in 2011 can be so butthurt about something like this. 1960 maybe, but even then women were used for commercial stuff, they just had more clothes on cause of a different age of moral standarts.
1. for you 2. and I'm sure the market could grow bigger 3. I see shit EVERYWHERE. Need to reproduce shit. 4. Yes, you would understand if every commercial on every kind of shit were accompanied with half naked men.
"Moral standards", you mean that it's some kind of evolution of morals that takes off their clothes. It's pretty depressing because what is interesting with women is to take off their clothes yourself. Having a woman half naked and dancing like a worm maybe is sexy for you, but not for me. Especially when I want to see sc2 games.
1. and for the vast majority of other men. 2. stop acting like this has ANY effect. as if a girl would be interested in sc2, then watch iem and say "a girl in hot pants on iem? FUCK THIS GAME!" 3. you call it shit. i call it standart marketing that works. 4. i see half naked men evrywhere too. underwear, cologne, shower, shavestuff, or freaking coa cola light. and i dont care even the slightest bit.
the last part makes no sense at all. where are the dancing girls that get shown instead of games? or are you talking about the take event again? a special semi private thing that the COMMUNITY, the VIEWERS paid for?
and again have you ever been to any event like this? it doesnt matter in what industry you check. thats how companies roll at events like that.
if you dont like it fine. but stop trying to force your opinion(which you are somewhat alone with) on others and ramble so much about it.
if you really want to continue raging about this then PM me. else im done with that.
You're the one raging, can I give my point of view about something without having germany defending it's brand ? You don't care, I do, I find it pretty low, u mad ? I'm alone with this opinion, you're the sheep with the crowd, congratz. I'm not forcing anything.
Lol, those girls get money for it and are not forced to do this. It is not like they are naked and has to **** live on stage or something. Calm down man^^

The Translator is a korean living in Germany for many years speaking perfect german & english - so he can handle it - he probably condenses the questions though^^.

ofcourse not. pretty much all german players know eachother well as you can see with all the stuff going on at takes with sudden 5 people casts with socke, darkforce, hasu etc happen.

ignore him.just a raging hardcore troll. no normal posters would post like this dragging the country in the discussion, following up with a "u mad" and then finishing with a flame.
