It's ok to be excited that your favorite player won. Please keep it manner! |

While I agree that he's not in the same skill-class, it's is very disappointing that he didn't even try to prove himself given such a nice opportunity. I used to really like Socke but he just lost points here... Let's hope Ret wins this now! In his last interviews, it sure sounded like he'd need such a motivation boost. It means Huk's metagame is weak, and his is too dependent on his mechanics and micro. But unless you are 10x better than your opponent at that, you can't overcome a serious deficiency in the metagame. What are you even talking about? Serious deficiency in the metagame? HuK doesn't have cancer. PvP Bo3 in which one player was surprised in the last game. Before then he hadn't dropped a game in the tournament. I'm really confused about what glaring flaw you see in HuK's play. Be specific, but don't write metagame twice and expect to be hailed as a scholar.
Game 1: Socke stays one step ahead of Huk by countering a counter to the 4 gate: blink stalkers vs sentry + immortal. Of course, a big factor was that sloppy first engagement that put Huk behind. But it was Huk's fault for trying to get fancy with proxy pylons and attempting to do aggressive play with too few units. I think the earlier games in which Huk won easily may have lead him to do such a thing.
Game 3: User picks Steppes of War, PvP. Should have taken the precautions here. However, it's possible that Huk has practiced builds that hold off proxy gateway, and he messed up the execution this time.
Overall it was disappointing to see Huk go out this way, because Huk's mechanics are amazing.

Well, someone mentioned earlier that his PvZ is actually his best matchup, and in the same interview he said he's confident against Morrow too. He did say that he thinks Ret's ZvP is "too strong" though I think.

I think it is fucking hilarious to see Euro nerds battling NA nerds about who is better than whom(who) at a video game.
I love watching SC2, but I couldn't give two shits about which continent has the better players, I just want to watch good games.
Everyone here is nerd(myself included) and if we should be in a verbal fight with anyone, it should be against the "normals" who make themselves feel superior by trying to make us feel inferior.
So pls quit the nerd on nerd hate and go make more money than the "normals".

GUESS WHAT... no terran in the semi, does it mean that terran is underpowered?
I hope ret gonna take it, he need confidence before starting code A and then he gonna roflstomp every body like jinro after MLG dallas.

Kas, Sjow and maybe Strelok and Naama are the only ones who were everytime on the top. Just look at play by some terrans like SarenS - he had worse macro than Grubby. There is much too learn for Terrans from now on, Protoss learned to play against them. Zerg most likely also. Maps will make it much worse. I honestly dont expect many Terran Winners in the next big european tournaments. Or terran will get biffed . Toss didnt exactly learn"to play vs terran on their own, they too were buffed along the way, and terran was nerfed. What protoss buffs except phoenix shorter buildtime so you mean. Also recently Browder said they are going to nerf terran so

I woke up to see that "the best player here" has been knocked out. But, no matter, it's PvZ semis and that should give the Zergs of the world a glimmer of hope!
