Azarkon United States21060 Posts February 13 2011 01:27 GMT #524 Two things I've noticed about Zeerax: 1. Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades. He always had the upgrade advantage on Strelok. 2. Great army control in the big battles. His units do what they're supposed to do - stalkers blinking back to allow zealots to charge in first, immortals targeting the armored units, templars feedbacking and storming. His mechanics aren't top notch (low apm, etc.), and his macro can fall behind. But this is how he wins.

Consistently HIGH in the EU Top 200 rankings. He's not even always a Protoss player. Someone in IRC said he's random. If you check his Bnet profile, his most played race is shown as Terran. His Top 200 rankings change between at least Terran and Protoss (don't know about Zerg). He's not an "unknown", he's not "come from nowhere", and he might not even be a protoss player. Even a tiny bit of research would expose these things. Slasher even informed Wheat that he used to be a War3 player, but apparently that's not been mentioned. Zeerax has been playing SC2 since the beta. He's got 3600 ladder games. He's probably played Strelok quite a few times before. He is beast, he's somewhat new to competitive play, but he's even played in some competitions before, and has some references on various competition websites, and an entry in the TLPD as well.
