He called Nestea terrible. Way to take something out of context. You guys have to be the most negative community of people ever. This is a great announcement for e-sports, but everyone is quick to piss on it and point out why it's not as awesome as it should be.

They'll do great when the time comes.
Remember Tasteless and Artosis in GSL1?
If iNcontroL and Gretorp progress half as well as they have they'll be amazing pretty soon.

Guy just mouths off yet doesn't do anything decent himself considering he has been in korea now for what seems like forever... Apparently you didnt even listen to Jinro himself during the interview. If you're referring to the last question, Jinro is an amazingly nice guy and dodges the "best foreigner" question every time, but when you're rolling over somebody 8-3 in high profile and high money games, it's not "close". He's a class above Idra at the moment. The very last game of the showmatch showed it better than any other. Not at all. Your not even considering how big of landslide wins all of Idras have been, and how a a good portion of Jinros wins are on a razords edge. He himself admitted it, even Artosis agreed. Every rational person knows that, your letting your fandom get ahead of you. A rational person knows that in a game like Starcraft, an 8-3 overall record in high profile matches, including a convincing win in 2 series stretched over a reasonably long period of time is a clear indicator of which player is better. Besides, it's not like Jinro didn't have his share of landslide wins, more than 3 in fact. A less than rational person will take sportsmanship comments made in a post-game interview as a factual argument.
I agree, an 8-3 record is a good one... and that's about all your attempted witty post had to say. "Clear indicator" is an absolute terrible choice of words. The players are so close in skill its incredible. The largely perceived weaker race of zerg more than makes up for your "clear indicator" in the gap of skill. Bunkers in front of ramps ending 2.5 minute games are sure landslides.
Rational, yep.

I hope they don't go solely on votes, since it seems to me a few players are dragging a bit behind in the popularity contest such as grubby and trump above slush, tt1, strelok, gretorp and lzgamer...

What would IdrA say if Jinro started hating on him right now and called him really, really bad?
I remember IdrA saying a lot of GSL code S people were awful, and calling people like ONECruncher (A TSL3 qualifier) terrible. Compared to the vast amount of people these players are amazing. Jinro has now beaten him a couple of times. So I wonder what IdrAs reaction would be to Jinro saying something like that about him. Probably nothing because he knows it is false? Well obviously he's one of the top players in the world, but as are many of the people he calls terrible. He called Nestea terrible.
He called him terrible around GSL season 2, he has since then rectified his stance on him. Catch the latest Artosis interview of IdrA to see that although not entirely impressed, IdrA does consider NesTea a top notch zerg player.

Yep, granted it's not everyone, a lot of people a excited but of course there will be some who just want to complain.

Personally I find SC2 boring, but I've bought a ticket for every GSL so far, and will probably support NASL too, as I think the game can become something awesome after expansion(s) and the pros becoming better.
Until then I'll just watch and play BW(but still support SC2 esports economically). Refreshing to see BW fans appreciate the SC2 movements as well. Salutes to you. I think BW and SC2 can co-exist. It's two different games. Also, I don't mind SC2 killing BW eventually, as long as it becomes as entertaining as BW. Right now, it's not(in my personal opinion), and if it killed BW right now I would get really angry. SC2 has the potential though, and I really hope that I can enjoy it as much as BW one day :D Edit: and by the way, most BW players support SC2, I find that there are more SC2 players that are hostile against BW enthusiasts than the opposite.
Oh really? Thanks dude, I had no idea. I (for some reason) thought BW people hated SC2 and didn't care how well it did judging by some of the threads upon SC2's release.
Happy to hear it.

To be fair, the negativity here is May sunshine compared to Deus Ex's forums (I mention SC there far more frequently fyi).
Idra calling people bad and his infamous bm is one of the fun things about Idra. What I'd really love is to see him dance like ST_Ace.
The only way this didn't live up to the hype is the fact that it was all but figured out beforehand. Compared to an announcement for a WoW expansion, I'd say NASL is about 6 levels above that.

Way for you to take what I said out of context.
And he did call Nestea terrible, right after he won GSL. He then later said Nestea got better, and yeah he does think he's great now. But nevertheless my point was that even if he wins GSL that doesn't mean, for IdrA, that he's not be terrible.
So by those same standards, just saying that IdrA "knows he isn't terrible" because he's a top player doesn't work.
And if you look at my previous posts I've been saying I'm super hyped about NASL. Don't imply I'm pissing on it.

As I said, he called him that after he won GSL2. My only point there was that just being a top player obviously isn't enough to make you not terrible.
So just wondered...

I can't believe how many people reply telling people not to whine, that's probably more, lol
To turn this not into of those posts: koreans, add them or I think it will fail. no MVP in this tournament will just be boring when you know someone like him is out there.

I hope they get you on board. I would hate to see something as big as NASL.tv to fall by the wayside because the production quality was not comparable to the prize pool / community expectations.

I just want to say I loved the casting tonight...it was quick, informative, and funny. Really really great job and looking forward to more incontrol & gretorp casting!
