First game, MKP goes for a base trade - certainly the correct move in that situation. Jinro hesitated and didnt commit to fending it off, instead going for a hesitant and extremely delayed simultaneous defence and offence. Second game, MKP goes for a hidden expansion in response to being contained. Jinro fails to scout the hidden expansion and falls way too far behind. I cannot believe Jinro didn't at least try to scout for hidden expansions since it would have been one of the viable and logical responses in MKP's position. Third game, MKP goes for a double proxy. Gimmicky but ballsy. Jinro fails in getting the turret up and takes far too much damage. His response to the banshee was to send his 5 mining SCVs at the expo to the turret, when they should have been retreated to the reinforcing maries. After MKP cleans that force, Jinro sends miserly pairs of SCVs to their deaths to finish the turret but to no avail. He loses far too many SCVs and falls behind. IMO: MKP is gimmicky but ballsy. He's clearly better prepared in the psychological battle. Jinro has made a poor and costly decision in every match to severely disadvantage himself. | ||
