American curse words are rather weak without any punch to them. It only has an effect on American because you are used to them being 'bleeped' on television. Any English or Australian person would laugh at this... -.- are u seriously going with my curse words are better then yours? What you said is exactly what he means by "strongest," that the recipients of english language are the least used to hearing curse words.

Weirdly on British TV you can say fuck and shit after 9pm but you can't say cunt until after 10. Don't really get it myself. Anyway simply awesome games today I hope the games can stay as good as this from now on

Outline of the games.
Ensare vs Check: Pretty good game check goes mass speedling but tries to attack up a choke and loses his army.
IdrA vs Jinro: Jinro expands aggressivly and denies IdrA his 3rd base. He gets a PF in the middle. IdrA finally gets a 3rd up but loses all his transfering drones. IdrA attacks very well without losing many units but Jinro has too much economy. Jinro has some great marine, thor, and tank play causing IdrA is forced to GG.
IdrA Vs Ensnare: IdrA played perfectly and kills the 2 base timing attack while getting a 3rd base up. Ensare macros wonderfully, eventually getting 4 bases, but IdrA has the whole map covered in creep and over 6k minerals / 3k gas. There are a few tank/broodlord/viking/thor skirmishes but once IdrA was ready, he attacked and exchanged armies in Ensnares favor. Then 17 ULTRAS and a beautiful win by IdrA.
Jinro VS Check: Jinro gets ahead with a 5 marine helion push and good micro but accidently leaves a a space in his wall. For Jinros tank marine composition to work, he needed a critical mass that he could not get with so low econ. After trying to get a 3rd base multiple times he GGs.
Jinro Vs Ensnare: Too long with WAYYY too many critical battles. 6 base VS 6 base with Jinro playing more cost effectively.
IdrA vs Check: IdrA fast expands while Check goes banelings. IdrAs roaches block off the small choke so Check cancels his baneling nest. They both tech to lair, Check going muta while idra went roach/hydra. Eventually Idra pushes with roaches while Check was out of position and killed the 3rd base, then the mutas go kill kill the roaches but hydras intercept. In benny hill style, IdrAs hydra roach army chases Check's roach army around the middle of junle basin. Since IdrA is attacking Check, Check's roaches slowly whittle down.IdrA attacks when they circle to Check's base and win the battle.

What are you yapping about? GOMtv is 'broadcasting' from Korea. If people in USA are offended...good riddance.
You should take a hit from Idra and be stoic. D; Awesome play and attitude from that guy.

Awesome work Jinro! It's always A vs B and C vs D then W vs L. Groupstage winners will be seeded into A and C spot of each group and runner ups in B and D. Matchups have already been revealed and Jinro will play runnerup of group G which is MarineKingPrime.WE I'm wondering about ro8 not the group stage of ro16 Seeing as the ro8 are basically 2 days after ro16 you can tell they won't do a draw. Combining that with how they set up 2nd groupstage you can tell that it's always 1st vs 3rd and 2nd vs 4th. Turning that to ro8 it's going to be like this which is still not confirmed but most likely to be the case seeing how they are setting up the groups so far in Code S.
Match 1 A1 vs C2 Match 2 B1 vs D2 Match 3 C1 vs A2 Match 4 D1 vs B2
And then just Winner M1 vs Winner M2 and M3 vs M4 etc.
Not sure but it hasn't been mentioned anywhere but so far they've been doing "1st vs 3rd and 2nd vs 4th setup" .

Not that I have anything against swearing, but it does complicate things if I try to get people like my 10 year old cousin into eSports. Why? How is it a big deal if a 10 year old hears the word fuck? Because it's less socially acceptable to swear publicly in the US and Canada. You can argue about the etymology and significance all you want, but it's simply a different culture. Changing the way someone thinks on a website is not the same as changing society at large. But it's an international broadcast, therefore there are obviously going to be culture differences. Truth is in a lot of places people just don't care about words, Australian media is heavily censored but you can't walk 10m in most public areas without someone screaming profanity in one way or another. Clearly hyperbole but people just accept it generally, it's stranger for someone to be offended and call someone out on it, in fact it is almost socially wrong to do so. I've got no issue with that. It's really a minor, unimportant issue. I'm just saying that people get surprised when they hear it on television and in public, and trying to win an argument on the internet about it does nothing to change how American society reacts. Both sides should just drop it.
Thanks for the writeups DeltruS!

Today's Code S games where breathtaking ... I feel like I need some time to rest and rethink all I've seen for today's matches. Just WOW !!!
P.S. : Code A games on the other hand were just so freaking poor, I was disgusted. Seen better games from Bronze NA players FFS.

About your comparison, I think Swedes such as Jinro expect Americans to be able to handle it. We have that respect for American culture, we're not afraid that you'll kill us or turn against us for anything verbal.
And I say respect because being afraid to step on someone's toes because they are blood thirsty savages isn't a compliment to said savages.

Does anyone know if Ro16 is also going to be Bo1?

The swearing thing is simply about professional decorum. The stream is uncensored (per Tasteless), but if you want to reach a larger audience, a certain level of professionalism is needed. Not swearing forces you to think about your words a tad more. (But that's a separate discussion)
The important thing is: OMG, what a day of GSL.
Code A: So much failboating it was passed from "horrible" to actively "humorous". Then Lyn wiped the floor with AngelGirlPrime.WE (I can't believe he actually made that ID >_< )
Code S: Insanely good games. You knew it was going to be a good night when Jinro vs Idra was coming down to imbalances in the map (that wasn't just being in super-close positions). It was a good sign. Those were some really awesome games. And we only got them because Jinro made a very minor mistake that cost him a lot. But, we all got Jinro vs oGsEnsnare for that mistake. As a fan, I'm happy! (As for Jinro, I think he's pretty drained for the experience)
So, onto the Rounds of 16 for both Code S & Code A. Should be a whole lot better.

So, we have 3 Zergs in Ro16? And I am the only one that sees that as the fault of the Bo1 system combined with stupid unbalanced maps?

Funny how a society that defines itself as a nation fighting for freedom of speech and democratic virtues have a censored media.
You know most dictatorships gain power from censoring their media.
Sorry couldn't help posting this backhanded comment, that will propapbly only derail this thread even further

Ret is the only one Idra practiced with, I guess all that trash talk vs Koreans is starting to bite him in the ass. =/ Won't be a problem once the EG house gets set up. Those guys are every bit as good as the Koreans LOL. No. They really aren't. It's just mindblowing. Makes me wonder how much EG has to fail (as a team, so not only clinging to Idra's individual success) for people to get off hyping their roster which is sub-par even by American standards. =/ Unless they buy a whole new roster, the house in Korea won't do much good. That's maybe a bit bold statement. It's however clear that idra is byfar their best player, saying they are subpar or worse than koreans however... I think Code A is making it quite clear, there's plenty of room for foreigners in there, and the best in code S. Same, I don't see how people can say things like this when InControl can beat Ret and was it Strifecro? in some games Artosis casted, and I think that Idra had said on SotG that InC was crushing people on ladder pretty easily. Then you've got Machine who has had good results recently and Inka who at the last MLG was able to come back from a 0-2 loss to Fenix to win a Bo7. I wouldn't say they have quite the lineup of TL but to say they aren't on similar level to the koreans is absurd. I'd say it's quite evident in just these games that foreigners can clearly compete at this level, Idra and Jinro played intelligent and nearly flawless games today, you could ask them if they thought they were leaps and bounds better than other foreigners and I think they disagree...at least Jinro would lulz. Anyways such great games so happy both foreigners made it through, really happy for Idra especially with the map pool ^^ It's not about foreigners vs koreans. EG, excepting Idra for obvious reasons, just has a really weak line up. ROOT/TL/Mouz consistently make far stronger showings in tournaments than EG.
