If they were really the highlight of the day, I would really like to hear about whatever they said.
only when they looked at this fat spectator and Tasteless made like a "uhhhewhh" sound lol and Artosis and him just laughed.
Good games, happy with the results. Go tester ~

I agree that especially a poorly executed all-in is a horrible thing to watch. HOWEVER, I feel that all-ins are too much in the protoss nature so you might aswell live with them: -Few and powerful but more expensive units (void ray is a prime example) -Not really a lot of flexibility (choose a tech path and you are stuck with it for a good while)
What you do? Well, usually use their power and try to punch a hole in the enemy. However here it's too easy to just throw all your weight behind that attack making it an all-in. For what I mean look at the difference in how Choya and oGsMC use void rays vs terran. Choya goes in and gets the units killed, oGsMC backs off and is already doing the next thing at the same time. Because of few units, if you lose one it may just be game over.
So what happens is what seems a totally overpowering victory or a crushing defeat for protoss.
What I'm saying is, while I'd like for protoss to all-in less, not doing "dirty tricks" like DTs, cannons etc. would be like a terran not abusing high ground cliffs next to enemy natural (with siege tanks).
Or in other words, I did like the play my fellow brotoss had yesterday, even if it wasn't brilliant.

Have to say, I'm just never that impressed by choya. It was particularly sad to see such a talented player as kyrix go down to cannon cheese.

Cannon cheese is all people do on the NA upper diamond ladder now a days as well. Blizz should fix this because if the standard opening vs zerg is trying to block them in with pylons thats pretty retarded.

Maybe 3 pylons to block a ramp will make it a bit easier to break the cannon rush.

What was with artosis taking a dump when he should of been doing the interview.
Then LOL @ his face later on, when he walk passed in the background when John was doing the interview.

- Genius will MAYBE get through tomorrow, though his group is the most volatile imo. - Anypro is pretty much rubbish (I truly think Artosis forgot his previous GSL play), and the only worse player is SansZenith.... - MC would be a huge upset not to - Inca is a toss up between him and NaDa, since I would except Inca to wipe Sans easily and NaDa to probably lose against MC, it'll be Inca v NaDa for the decision.
For Zergs: - Leenock has a decent chance of making it since Rainbow's TvZ has never been shown to be strong in any of the 3 seasons. - IdrA has about a 50/50 chance of making it out since there is NO way Jinro will rush him. - Check of course is the WORST Code S zerg out there, except for Jookto, if Check makes it through...that would only mean Ensnare's play has fallen off the map, because Check is about as good as Anypro here since he has NEVER defeated a strong player, ever.
GSL4 isn't going to likely be the great one for race distribution since a lot of Season 1 carry overs (who no longer deserve to be there) need to be purged out first. What you said about check could be said about jinro. Who has jinro defeated that was so notable?

Both Tester and Choya exploited the bad part of his play. To be fair, it isn't the numbers, but the content. I see every terran opens with 2 raxes, on every map, every spawn positions, and Zerg becomes scared shitless. I see every toss opens (at least have in mind) with cannons/pylon block. I don't see much chance of Idra, Check, and Leenock in current metagame. Nestea seems to be at least solid against T, but I have seen him playing terrible against Ps quite a few times. when was the last time u saw a zerg play toss and win?

Oh WOW...Tester is gonna be playing Boxer in the Ro16!!

Excuse my lack of knowledge, and sorry if its posted somewhere that is very obvious, but where can we see the full layout of contingent matchups?

you gotta go down abit but it's somewhere around the middle.
of course they're only gonna play the one match but it would be the most anticipated match in that group imo.

it's been pretty standard on KR ladder from what I've seen on streams

More anticipated than Nestea vs Boxer rematch? Either way that group is stacked: Nestea, Boxer, Tester and Zenio. Wow.

Apparently, there are way more aggressive all-ins on the Korean ladder compared to the other ladders. The Koreans are notorious for such aggression. Must be something in the kimchi lol.
Anyways, SlayerS_BoxeR vs Tester is gonna be crazy good. These matchups are almost too good to be true. BoxeR vs Tester. NaDa vs MC. Jinro vs Idra. Here's hoping for some more epic games.

very true indeed. boxer vs nestea rematch would be awesome to watch too.
it's a shame that these guys all have to face each other this early =\
would like to see a Bo5 or even a Bo3 from these guys. oh wells...formats decided, what's done is done by gomtv.

The 2nd groupstage distribution is as followed.
Group A Winner Group C Winner Group B Runner up Group D Runner up
Group B Winner Group D Winner Group A Runner up Group C Runner up
This means for the 2nd groupstage we have 2 known groups which are:
Group A IMNesTea (Winner A) SlayerSBoxer (Winner C) oGsZenio (Runner up B) TSL_Trickster (Runner up D)
Group B IMMVP (Winner B) ChoyafOu (Winner D) TheBestfOu (Runner up A) oGsHyperDub (Runner up C)
Group A of 2nd groupstage is pretty stacked LOL!
Match schedules are applied like 1st groupstage.
A vs C B vs D
Which is as followed for ro16
Group A IMNesTea vs oGsZenio SlayerSBoxer vs TSL_Trickster
Group B IMMVP vs TheBestfOu ChoyafOu vs oGsHyperDub
|
Those groups look pretty insane...MVP gets to face three of the weakest players (although choya does seem to have his number) while Group A is ridiculously stacked.
Looks like Boxer is screwed. He probably has a good shot against Tester, but I don't see him winning TvZ against either Nestea or Zenio, unless the maps turn out super favourable for him =/

One of the Zergs and Tester make it out, Hyperdub and IMMVP make it out of Group B

But arguably 3 weaker players compared to the players in Group A is pretty mind blowing. LB are going to get screwed in that group :D
Treehugger predictions plz

I'm kinda confused. So Tester = Kisu = Trickster?
If so...the dude srsly needs to pick a damn name and stick to it.
