I thought Tester played very well and his loss on scrap station was understandable after hearing the interview (he thought choya was going DTs since the attack came much later than a normal 4 gate, so he build a robo).

Every game of his that I watch he looks fucking awful and makes tons of retarded mistakes, but somehow he just wins anyways because his opponents play worse. I'm going to call that the Choya effect.

He actually chanting a curse to bring down his opponent's skill level. He didn't do that in the tester game so you're saying his skill level is higher than tester and kyrix?

It wasn't cheesy, it wasn't even very risky zu begin with. First he scouts the close air distance, because he wants to be sure if his opponent is there. After he sees rain has the close air distance base, he steals the gas. By doing this, he prevents a) a cloaked banshee build b) medivac drops c) fast detection So he minimized the risks, and after he sees that rain is attacking the assimiliator with like 4 marines, he also knew there won't be 2 / 3 rax pressure, instead rain techs up. He knew he was save, thats why he went for the dt tech. And he knew that rains solely detection would be scans, because ravens would come to late, and you don't get an engineering bay with this build. It was a fucking well thought out plan, and executed flawlessly.

Fruitdealer made a rookie mistake on a greedy build, other zergs simply played poorly. Terran seem to be playing a lot better too.

Would love to hear more from a gang fight expert. Which isn't to say that I don't agree with you that cheesing makes you a weasely rat-bastard.

Nestea isn't going anywhere soon. he will win or get second.

Terran seem to be playing a lot better too. here is my thoughts on race distrubution terran 4 qualifiers thebestfou-in a group that had to have a terran qualify. he didn't have to play nestea. i don't see him going to far. IMmvp-one of the better terrans would have been a small upset if he did not qaulify but not suprising both zenio and dealer are quite good and dealer was the one that didn't play well that day. slayersboxer-one of the strongest terran in the game. in really easy group would have been a huge upset if he did not qualify. ogshyperdub-suprised me a bit i expected hongun to be the second from that group. now that i think of it he gets to practice with oGsMc who is by far the best PvT. So playing hongun would seem like a breeze compared to Mc. so its not that shocking and oGsthewind was the other player in that group and he is not to good anymore. so at this point i kinda expected 3 terrans to be in. 1 from a auto qualifier and 2 that were just really good. hyperdub was a toss up. Zerg-2 advanced Nestea-yeah i don't need to say much here he was almost a sure thing. zenio-was in a auto qualifier group for zerg. i was expecting fruitdealer to advance instead of zenio but both are a zerg. zerg is a bit behind but the max they could have had was 4 which was possible. Zenio and fruitdealer was a very probable possibility from group B but mvp is very good as well. i would have expected kyrix to advance in the group D, but really this group was the biggest toss up in my opinion. i thought anyone could have advanced. Zerg is doing sub par but it does not suprise me that only 2 advanced. Protoss-2advanced tester-one of the best protoss. not a suprise that he advanced choyafou-iv never seen a game by this guy but from what iv heard he is just a curse. he plays awful but he curses the other player so he plays even worse. both the protoss came from group D which i really thought it was a toss up. i expected 2 protoss at this point but not both from coming from group D. that was a surprise. i didn't feel like any one in group D had proved they are undisputaly good. Rain is just the cheese machine. choya plays bad but his oponets play worse. tester failed to qualify for last season but previous to that proved he was possibly the protoss. i had thought kyrix was good but he got eliminated early in gsl3. So i wasent sure if rain and choya were actually good and if kryix and tester just had 1 bad set. i really don't think that the race distribution that has advanced is to surprising. i would have guessed 3 terran 3 zerg 2 protoss. il guess this round or what ever will end with 8 terran 4 zerg and 4 protoss advancing.

He just sit there and push with max army, this allows his opponent to make crazy mistakes even though hes playing pretty bad His PVP against tester is kinda standard and caught tester off guard Nothing really worth mentioning in these matches
