Nah it was actually at the critical point fo the game. Ra's deathball was starting to get the critical mass of colossi and void rays while morrow was churning out an absurd amount of corrupters (almost looked like too many tbh). It was all going to come down to whether or not ra could blow up enough shit. If they even traded armies Morrow would have been in a much better position. The map is big enough too that I think if Morrow came out behind he would have easily been able to reinforce his army. We'll never know though. naniwa told me it was 140 food unupgradede toss and at that point i was 200 food with upgrades actually. however we all know what voidray colosus force field can do to a zerg army :D game undecided for sure!

So you think at 3am he should go find an internet cafe which i don't know about sweden. But here in England barely if at all exist. Hope it has starcraft 2 already on it. Then that it has the US client. Use a completely different monitor, keyboard and mouse to what he is used to so we can watch the end of the finals?
What time frame are you giving him for this? 30minutes?

Hope you take it Morrow For the Swarm!

why didnt you guys just play on the euro server so you didnt lag, and have people join you, and drop if they lagged?
day 9 and wheat have casted EU server before, and you guys from screddit couldnt get access to any EU accounts for streaming/casting?
i enjoyed the tournament so far, and considering how much effort you guys have done to make it run so smoothly, im surprised no one had this back up plan in mind

Frustrating for sure, I think Morrow had a fairly substantial advantage in that game though definitely not conclusive. I'm hoping that we'll get the replays and VODs up in the next couple of days.

We'd need to EU accounts for Day9, DJWheat, Fear (our admin), Cazter (caster), abenstis (back up caster), seagnome (fraps guy).
I thought Day9 do have EU account but fair enough. I am still pumped for the match though.

You're probably right. We still would have needed quite a few more though ^.^
The staff has talked since the event ended, and I now I don't think playing it on EU would have fixed MorroW's problems. MorroW was saying he was getting logged out of MSN; that's indicative that the problem with his internet. If it was a problem with his internet, as a opposed to latency between continents, switching to EU wouldn't have done anything.

I have to say I'm really impressed by the handling of the incident and the tournament in general. Admins made a good choice to just wait and recast possibly through replays. No one is to blame other than unstable internet during the night. And I have to say it was just really interesting to see such similar looking games at the start all three times. Sean and Wheat were very professional in their handling of the problems as well. Can't even blame this one on battle.net.

Well, to whoever wins, this will no doubt be a tournament that might gain then some attention towards a highly touted tournament in Korea ^^

Recaps of today's games are up!

hopefully replays will be released soon

Whatever happens in the final - welcome back to sc2 MorroW; your ZvP is pretty damn epic! So good you have made the transition (even though i am a T player).. Try not to 4-0 whitera okay; you might upset alot of people

I have watched only a few SC2 tournaments and this one was probably one of the most well run by far.
Some games were great but I was surprised just how good the tournament organisers were in getting everything done. As the audience, we were kept in touch about what was happening pretty much all the time. What was great compared to most other tournies was that the spectator actually knew what the hell was going on and how important the games were in the scheme of things. The write-ups were really quick too! The rules were clear, fair and were enforced by the referee. There were no unnecessary massive delays and the problem in the final was dealt in a professional manner. What annoys the viewer is when for the stream all of a sudden goes for adverts for 10+ minutes for no reason. You told us what was happeneng and when and I applaud you.
Well done and I hope the SCReddit guys can do loads more of these type of things. I heard of you guys through Psy's stream and I am really pleased I took the time out to watch this. Other tournament organisers could learn a thing or two from how you conducted yourselves. Really top marks.

That whole series was epic; it is up there with the Leenock vs Clide series from GSL - a lot have said even better.. I think there needs to be more attention given to that series because it was absolutely ridiculously amazing!
