Those Korean obs are the best at observing. I think you can learn alot from them. Beside, watch the minimap more.
You also need more game sense in order cast well. Things like at about 6-8 mins a Zerg will probably suicide an overlord to scout the Terran base, you need to anticipate it and obs it so the game will make sense. Or if a Protoss 4 gate, you see that, you immediately survey the mini map for a offensive probe with a hidden pylon somewhere near the opponent's base.

I want WaaaghTV for Starcraft ... the problem is every caster will suck if he is on its own. But if i can control the camera, i see and hear things the caster sees and i see other things. So guys, make WTV for SC!^^

GSL is just a league.
Seeing as how they are listed in the OP as "Invited GSL guests" and I don't see what the issue is.

Watching the VODs on RageQuitTV and I think Ipp did a fine job.

First time I saw BratOK casting and was pleasantly surprised how funny and terran-biased he was

He did all those things you mentioned. I don't know whether you know this but the Koreans have 1 guy just observing the game(clicking all over the map) and he will point out things that the caster missed. So it's really unfair to compare the job that 3 Korean guys do to just 1 guy.

Just watched the vods, Ipp is easily one of my favourite casters. But I can't seem to find a game 2(/3) for Ret vs. Mana?

damn the best players in Europe coulnt do anything to the GSL guys.

Players lose, shit happens. Doesn't make them an all-star team. These players were very nervous and it really showed. It's the same thing with the EU vs US tournament. It's 4-2 to EU now but that doesn't mean that EU just domanites US or are ahead skill-wise. There was few US players that I though would win easily but sometimes these things happen. You can't really say they are the all-star based on one tournament. They aren't bad players, not at all. Just not the top dogs in my opinion at least.
can you anyone better?

I paraphrase Greg "Idra" Fields: "Koreans overdo it, American under do it." This is when Artosis asked him about his training schedules while playing for CJ Entus. When you practice for 12 hours a day, you are bound to get better.

Very nice. And I think that this will squelch some guys claiming that they could compete in the GSL (usually after watching some sub-par games). The problem is: 1) you need to play at a high level almost constantly and not only if you have a good day 2) you mustn't choke at high pressure
However, the guys playing here are really quite high calibre, this puts it into the right perspective I think.

Europe does have better players, in Korea unfortunately (Ret, Jinro). Those who played were some of the best from EU for sure, maybe not the best of best but in the top. Other then MC the players who played from korea were not the best from korea as well. there is maybe 2 other protoss as good as mana atm, and judging from recent results mana is slightly ahead of them(whitera and socke) both were knocked out in groups, and there is 3 other terrans as good as sjow, naama and strelok,(demuslim, bratok and kas) 2 were knocked out in groups, that was definitely the best europe had to offer in terms of who is still on the continent All this tournament shows was that sjow needs to join select and mouz needs to setup a korean house:D Remove Demuslim (seems to be out of shape), add Tarson and Brat_OK for Terran. Then there's of course Dimaga and Morrow from Zerg. Overall it's a very strong team from EU, but there are many different teams from Korea that could repeat this feat. And a legion that could beat this team, although not so convincingly. And an even larger group that is on its level. Korea is stronger, whether you like it or not. Of course if we had the real EU allstar team, we'd have Jinro, Ret and possibly Haypro playing.
Are you replying to me or just to thread because your basically fully agreeing with me while phrasing it like your arguing with me?

Note that some of the best players of Europe ARE GSL guys.

Telcontar
Ret is not KR, those doods are invited from GSL, top playeres tbh from gsl Normal KR doods from ladder would be rolled by top 100 eu.
Kaspersky invite gsl champion ogs.MC who pwn 87.000$ weeks ago! Ret is class A, TOP and Zenio are S, good for EU stars to taste PRO-gaming
diffrence is huge, specialy in macro, zerg users in eu vs zerg users in kr is joke ret and zenio rolled over oponents like for fun Sjow had BIG chance to pwn TOP, but this was not macro thing tbh All hope went for Sjow cause EU got like 9 terrans in top 10(IEM in Kiev will be ultra boring), they play alot and alot of tvt and still cant win vs TOP who is not the top terran in kr...
Now lets see if Ret got chance for final, MC roll over all players in world atm so if he loose, nothing will happend, if he can win!!! ))))..... but anyway MC - Zenio final coming
|
huh? people seem to forget korea didnt do well in dreamhack, most of these eu players are at oGsTOP level, maybe not oGsMC(he seems to be the most consistent sc2 player atm). The problem is that one series "cross-realm" doesnt prove anything.
