I cannot make myself read 80 pages of this so can anyone please tell me why did ret lose 3 out of 5 games? Did he post anything here or anyone that watched his games?
Did they outplay him? Did they cheese him? Did he just play bad?

Game 1 in the zvt he was outplayed the terran played really well, macroed good, micro'd good and just kinda dominated ret taking ou this third and all that fun stuff.

Game 2 agaisnt the toss on scrap I honestly think Ret should have won but he made some cruciel mistakes. His biggest mistake imo was when he attacked the third half of his army engaged the toss army while the other half was attacking the Nexus. He was up by like 20 supply I believe at thsi point and I think he could have won the game and that battle if he didn't let half of his units die and his other half attack the nexus. He could have sniped the nexus and pulled back and crushed the tosses army if he pushed.

I did not watch the last 3 as I went to bed but glad to see he made it through ^^
When I think of something else, something will go here

noooooooooo! JINRO and IDRA in the same group, wth. Like foreigner team kill. Koreans don't want us in their tournament.

In general it seems like a lot of the groups are really bad for teamkill. 3 oGs in one group, 4 TSL players and 2 in the same group. Although I guess there's just so much oGs its kinda hard for no team kills. Jinro, Idra hwaiting!

Was anyone else really impressed with MaruPrime's strategy on Shakuras Plateau? I know that was his only win of the day, but he was being extremely annoying with those tank/thor drops. Strange, he looked really impressive that match- maybe he really didn't want to lose to a foreigner?

Yea it was awesome! It's a lot like Jinros TvZ on DQ in which he dropped that tank and dropship in a spot next to the natural.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Idra drops off relative to the competition as people get better and he stays the same. Innovation isn't his strong suit.

When are Idra and Jinro's games? I can't decipher the OP at all. It says they were played this morning (GMT) but people talk like they haven't happened... Can somebody explain? Thanks!

Even if one of them gets third in the group, they still have two chances to keep code S. They aren't going anywhere.

I don't know why people are angry at idra and jinro being in the same group. I'm really excited to see them play each other. Since they aren't likely to win the whole thing, it was going to be rare to see them play against each other on such a big field. Imagine how many people are going to be watching that game.

Anyone else think that Group C looks like it will be the most competitive. It might not have the top 4 players, but those guys are really close together in skill.

jinro is seeded higher then idra, so there was a 1/8 chance that they got into same group, and that what happened. i think there was some players present at the group drawings, its not like its done secretly.

Here are the sums to see which groups are most "stacked" by GSL rating points:

A 13694 - Nestea's division
B 12996 - FruitDealer's division
C 9845 - SlayerSBoxer's Division
D 9448 - Rain's Division, so possibly higher.
E 11344
F 9397 - MC's division, so possibly higher
G 10295
H 8846 - idra/Jinro's division.

Seeing as how getting #1 in a GSL gives you 7000 points, the champions' divisions have obviously inflated scores.

Group E has the highest score after the champion divisions. its leader, Rainbow isn't particularly strong compared to the rest of the top 8, but it's second and third are Genius and Leenock, so it actually has some solid and evenly-matched players.

SlayerSBoxeR's division is second-weakest (9845). The Emperor should be able to hold his own against the likes of TheWind and Hyperdub. HongUn is the top8 representative in that group, but he's kind of a wildcard between amazing and hilarious games.

Idra/Jinro's division is weakest (8846 total) -- oGsEnsnare, the top8 of that group, hasn't been seen recently (I'll call this the SSKS syndrome) so the foreigners have a really good shot at 1/2. this should calm some of you who claim "Gretech hates foreigners OMG"

IdrA vs Jinro would be a match made in heaven.

I've been wanting to see them play a series since Jinro advanced further.

Nestea, MVP, NaDa, and LegalMind have the best situations, as they only have to practice one matchup for their group play lol =)
