Should be fine dude.
Just don't make eye contact with anyone. Don't ever EVER put your hands in your pockets. People think you are carrying a weapon. Walk fast but not so fast people detect fear. Fear is like blood in shark infested water in mexico. Always carry at least a knife but probably a sawed off shotgun. Have you ever been shot? Don't drink the water. Don't ever shake someones hand. They aren't doing that to greet you. Sleep on your back. If you can, sleep in a chair. Put your pillows under the sheets and wait. Never stand in one place for more than 30 seconds. When you walk zig-zag and change your pace constantly. Smell that? Yup, run.
If you follow those simple guidelines you should be fine unless you stay more than 2 days.

Gamegune has organised events before. I still remember they organised CS tournaments in Spain like 5+ years ago or so. So since they still exist it must mean that the organisation is quite decent for lasting this long unless this isn't that same organisation that organised CS events?

Anyway, I'm not even a native english speaker, so whatever

I'm feeling very tempted to go but the $45ish entry fee is what is turning me down. I would love to meet high caliber players like OldJack, TT1 and Fenix but I also would like to do well in the tournament and don't feel I'm ready enough.

i heard that killer is also coming, any confirmations?

Thats complete BS. Our water is way cleaner than, lets say, India.
In all seriousness, you will be fine tt1. You wouldnt be if you went to Juarez but Mexico City is fine.

Hahahaha you kill me Incontrol.. Thanks for scary him so he wont come and the prize will be for us XD!!
Mexico city is safe, I've lived here for about 20 years and I haven't been in risk, Killer isn't coming at least that's what he said..

|
TT.. try to get the prize money in cash, that way you can use it to buy off the killers on the way to the airport.
|
God damn INcontrol, you would make an awesome welcoming party
|
Mexico city is a safe place, if you don't go to some neighborhoods (wich you won't if you just go to game gune ) you'll be fine. The really dangerous places in Mexico are far from mexico city so don't worry.

honestly, you will be ok, careful with the tap water also, and no taquitos from street vendors outside the metro
