We have Zerg champion in the first season, when Zerg is considered the weakest race. Yet, Fruitdealer still beat other good players, both T and P. And back in Brood War, we have Boxer won everything when Terran is considered underpowered. Actually, if the race is considered weak and a player of that race win the tournament, that person could be consider a very top player, and can become a legend if he can dominate the field.
Zerg was by far the strongest quite early in the beta though. So, many pros picked zerg then. In fact i can remember Artosis saying that's why he picked zerg ( although maybe in jest). And in the middle of season 1, zergs were dropping like flies but a patch came in time. Anyway lets drop the balance talk

July is using the ID 스타테일안심이 which translates to VealTenderloin or the sort

But guys... protoss is overpowered in korea! Anybody else find it strange that koreans made that claim so long ago, and the only time of protoss dominance was when they were clearly OP with the absurd 40 second warpgate (or w/e it was) research time in first patch of beta? Anyway, who did tester lose to? Was it at least somebody good? I mean... no huk/kiwi/tester in GSL3, so protoss doesnt really have a hero to root for. If Genius loses, I dont even know.
EDIT: Oh, forgot. We do have JMC, he better have some killer celebrations.

That's exactly what people said about Zerg in season one. They saw players like Zenio and NesTea getting crushed and just assumed they weren't as good as the top Terran and Protoss players, which of course isn't the case. I'm sure there are plenty of very good Protoss users in Korea who will shine once their race allows it.

Tester in numerology gives sum of 23 which is very good number regarding luck and many other factors, while sSKS sum is giving number 11, which is very very bad number and ppl should run aways from that.
It sounds stupid but it could be explaination :D I just looked at your aura and the violet splotches indicate that you will give birth to kittens tomorrow. Now, I know what you might say. "I'm not a cat, or female!". Auras never lie. ill inform u tommorow if you are wrong, but you still can't dispute my theory as false tt
Nor can you dispute mine as false.
If you tell me tomorrow you didn't have kittens, I can tell you that the minty stripes in your aura suggest postpartum psychosis that caused you to abandon your offspring and develop amnesia about ever having them.

I'm not "trolling" by poking a little fun at someone's ridiculous "Tester lost because of Numerology blah blah" post.

Your argument is that ALL THOSE players who were protoss who didnt qualify were just.. bad... ? Well, here's my argument. If they were zerg or terran, do you think they would have made it further?
No, not all, just most. The brackets are pretty random, players like Tester and Nada go out, and guys who don't belong there get through. It's impossible to predict whether if said protoss players were zerg or terran they would have got through, so it's not relevant. By the way, it wasn't an argument. Just an interested question http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/S-class - Luckily, Tester and Nada are both S class so the 'randomness' is over after GSL 3, and frankly there was no way to pre-seed until these initial GSL tournaments. I personally feel far more sorry for people who have not attained S class and have been knocked out by proven top level players (GSL performances). The thing is, how do you know they weren't beaten by players of equal or better standard? The fact is, you don't until they compete in the GSL-proper. We do know that SKSS/Nada are class players, but they may have played poorly or been the worse players on the day, rather than been at the bad end of cheese/race balance.
I feel more sorry for guys like TOP, who definitely are S-Class standard but yet can't get into S-Class.

Aye time to move on I think. I'm going to do what I always do and stick to the fence like glue until the patch comes.

Looks like the protoss will have the same role as in BW, being only bystanders watching terran and zerg fight it out.
A bit off topic, i'm just wondering what ever hapened to that skilled protoss player named Bisu in BW, i stoped watching sc1 almost 2 years ago, but didn't hear anything about him in the meanwhile. (i only heared abour Jaedong and Flash)?
