Zerg players did it in GSL 1 and Terans did not have the need for it so far. Maybe the pro toss players should really sit together, discuss some things and mail them to Blizz. This would be better than any balance discussion on any forum I guess. What'd you know? Maybe he does ofc I dont know if he does. I am just pointing out that it would be better than discussing balance in LR threads :p OT: I am shocked that there is so little info on Select. Actually. Makaprime send replays to blizzard, it resulted into the void ray nerf. Because there were certain timing pushes(/w charged void rays) wich were unstoppable even if you blindly prepared for it.

You could probably count the 'protoss hope' candidates on one hand, so I don't find it surprising when there are no Toss players in the later rounds. And why do you think, less "pros" playing with protoss? I don't hear any Pro-toss players actually complaining though. If anyone else has feel free to correct me. I think in the interviews from yesterdays qualifiers, MC stated that Blizz should nerf Marauders and that Roach range 4 should be put back to 3.
He didn't say it. He said that he feels "protoss is very hard to play. Zerg became stronger, and PvT became more of a build order risk. Force fields are the core of protoss, but it became harder since gateway units aren’t very effective". No calling for nerf, though.

No idea why tbh, but I'd definitely say that outside of 5 or 6 really good toss players it's essentially a bunch of randoms and cannon fodder who aren't up to scratch. Idra said something once about it being easy to get good with toss, hard to be great. Could be something in that. I don't hear any Pro-toss players actually complaining though. Didnt know that. Makes this topic even more interesting. Lets see how remaining Protoss will do in GSL3 and if there will be a patch before the actual GSL starts.
Grats to July! Cant wait to see his games in ro64 as long it isnt ZvZ :p
And btw. Any info on Select? EDIT: just read he is in final round. GLGLGLGL

Your argument is that ALL THOSE players who were protoss who didnt qualify were just.. bad... ? Well, here's my argument. If they were zerg or terran, do you think they would have made it further?
No, not all, just most. The brackets are pretty random, players like Tester and Nada go out, and guys who don't belong there get through. It's impossible to predict whether if said protoss players were zerg or terran they would have got through, so it's not relevant.
By the way, it wasn't an argument. Just an interested question

Anyone one know if CoreJJang as qualified or lost yet? He made it to Ro32 last time. Not sure if maybe his name is one of the korean names.

Thanks for the info! Perhaps Motbob should edit the OP, as Tasteless is supposed to be playing his qualifiers today according to that...

Well actually Terran is the race of men, zerg is the race of bugs and Protoss are the race of...well I don't actually know what Protoss are.

So, please tell me how MOST of these players that are popular right now got popular? They got popular from their PERFORMANCE in SC2. How can we know who is TRULY a good Toss player, if the RACE is setting them back? This is an infinite loop argument, you can't have top players without balance.
I don't think it's always true. We have Zerg champion in the first season, when Zerg is considered the weakest race. Yet, Fruitdealer still beat other good players, both T and P. And back in Brood War, we have Boxer won everything when Terran is considered underpowered.
Actually, if the race is considered weak and a player of that race win the tournament, that person could be consider a very top player, and can become a legend if he can dominate the field.

looked it up myself. He obviously joined soul in april 2008. Is there some kind of connection or is this just a mistake in TLDP since all players of ST have odd joining dates, tho i don't know if they all played for STX before (I doubt it tho)
