Lol @ all the people in this thread who think Jinro or TT1 aren't good or are surprised Jinro made it to the finals. Just goes to show how little people actually know about the relative skill levels of the top players. Jinro has been sick good since the earliest days of the beta and he's been training with oGs for awhile now. He was always a top contender imo though I was pulling for Tyler to take it.

unfortunate or not he should learn to deal with close positions / cheese. I love IdrA but i'm starting to be disappointed to he cannot adapt his play @all.

Yeah, he really needs to change up his builds and not insist on doing the same thing each game. A lot of times it looks really impressive when he barely holds off an attack and starts to rape face later, but the chance of that happening isn't too high.

Actually, if the chances werent very high he would be very good would he? Holding off something barely as zerg lets you get ahead in econ and win the later game. That is what being good at zerg is all about.

You got to (as a spectator and self appointed knowitall) question his decision to go for hatchery-first when he is so solid in a longer macro games, and expose himself with such risky builds... =/

One of the reason his late game is so fantastic is *because* he's so aggressive with his expansions.

Nevertheless, he seems to have fallen apart in the past 2 weeks. Not just losing to Zenio, but getting roflstomped and swept. Not just losing to Nony, but getting roflstomped by Nony. Not just getting knocked out of MLG, getting roflstomped out in no time flat.

Roflstomped.

He played really bad, especially on LT vs Select and on Kulas vs Nazgul. He countered blink stalker with hydras on scrap station, why didn't he do it on Kulas?

I really liked the diversity of play we saw in this MLG. It was a really nice event to watch. It's a shame about the finals, though. That match on steppes was at an extremely tense point when it decided to stop working.

he will never be a top player if he keeps doing the same opening EVERY single game. that is a simple fact, ppl will learn how to counter him.

I didn't expect Jinro to come out and win this (not saying hes a bad player and all, but he seemed to be strong early in the beta but dropped off the radar when he went to Korea, in which he has had mediocre GSL success at best). That being said, he definitely played some solid SC2 and gave me a reason to forget my doubts regarding his skill.

Also happy to see the strong Liquid` presence in the top 8!

Dropped off the radar? Excuse me? He has some of the best practice partners you can get. Not only that, the GSL is the GSL for a reason. Doubted his skill? Some of you guys, Jesus. If you don't know much about a certain player how about you do a little research beforehand. Come on, this is starting to get ridiculous.

I'll agree his play on LT was not his greatest performance, actually quite bad. But he would have gotten toyed with so horribly if he went hydra on Kulas. the cliff abuse and distance the hydras would have to cover off creep makes the defense impossible.

Interesting quotation ^^. I've actually never heard that one before.

It's not live. It says below the stream "Rebroadcast - LiquidJinro Wins!"

It's a rebraodcast of todays stream.

Did FA/Jinro ever win any BW tournaments? No, right?

Based off the comments in this thread I wouldn't be surprised to soon be hearing "Haypro? I can't believe it. I thought he sucked." Many of new forum members weren't around for BW so their opinions of these players are based entirely off of SC2 and god knows what else.
