Well, back to the match, glad that TT1 won on xel naga, excited for more! Someone said already, and it was totally ignored, if the next match went 2-1 for Tyler that means that Tyler advanced with a record of 2-3 vs PainUser. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it isn't fair/logical.
ok then it's fair that painuser is the only person who gets to lose 6 (4 to someone who he's already proven he can beat) times to get eliminated while everyone else gets only 4?

This isn't true and ignores the amount of games played. I'm going to bullshit some numbers here b/c I don't want to pour over the brackets but...
You're saying it's more fair for Tyler to be down 0-2 even though Painuser may only be 10-5 aggregate while Tyler is 20-4? (Bullshit numbers but it is a possibility due to dropping to LB earlier)
Edit: The poster above me raises another good point. The MLG system is just an experiment that has failed (imo) and they need to get in line with every other major double elim tournament.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it isn't fair/logical. so what? someone can get out of group stages having lost to someone who gets eliminated. It's not about head-to-head records, it's about overall performance across the bracket.

I want to make this clear: This is why you can't please everybody, so stop complaining. Some people agree with it, some people don't. There is no actual way to say "this format is better", because it's 100% subjective. Stop complaining and start your own tournament w/ a structure you like.

Non-adaptive play is gonna cost TT1 the game, probably :S
