how much can storms do against that composition? Thors tanks storms relatively well

Storm the vikings and bio. Vikings don't actually have much HP.
Teeler lost because he probably hasn't seen that composition before and was just a little confused.

Whole point of thors is that it counters storms so that P can't storm bio/vikings

explain. That statement doesn't make sense to me

thors soak up all the storm damage. kinda like the role ultras function in ultra/ling in sc1 zvp

Not really, since I hope no one is really trying to storm those thors the HTs kill banshees, marines, marauders and to lesser extend hellions. zlots kill thors well.

Being 4 gas geysers up is probably a lot bigger reason for how the game went, than we are taking into account, but I'd def say transitioning into VR was not smart after he lost his core colossi army(phoenix with colossi is decent since they waste the vikings time away from the colossi). In any case, if they were getting similar gas income, PU wouldn't really have threatening amount of banshees _and_ thors, a mix of both or all of either, which the toss has units that can handle.

exactly how much temps do you expect P to get in a battle each time? storming their entire marines/marauders and you expect none of those storms to hit any thors at all? and STILL have enough energy to feedback/storm all those banshees while again not having any storms being soaked by thors? while at the same time avoiding being obs sniped by a few vikings?

Yep, I believe TLO took him out in the loser's bracket.
MLG's brackets are saying HuK beat qxc and is facing TLO next. Is it the other way around? Wasn't HuK knocked down to the Loser's Bracket a round before TLO though?

Nope, you're right. I was just going from my memory of the brackets without checking the facts

Different kind of games. Wish it was possible for SC, but RTS = nono. I personally feel the crowd is to close to the players, wish they isolated the players more(i mean select wasn't even using headphones in games vs... idra?). Don't think it effected the games at all(this time), but we could see that TLO did hear the commentators and understood them(which was hilarious but yer ), which makes it a bit dubious.

Yeah no one predicted this Looks like people all underestimated the talent that exists in the US/Canada, since 3/4 are American/Canadian.

So, how many American/Canadian take part in this tournament?

Don't pull the numbers game, please. European tournaments have more EU players as well...

LOL What? YOU pulled the numbers game with your "3/4" comment. And it's pretty normal that you have more NA players in the top 4 when there are more players of them in the tournament.

Look through the bracket Azarkon.. None of the americans in the winner bracket top 4 has had to face europeans on their way there (except Painuser, but Nazgul hasn't really practiced as much as everyone else). Europeans has mostly knocked each other down to the loser bracket.

edit: said machine instead of painuser.

TT1 knocked TLO down to the LB as well. And this isn't an EU vs. NA contest. It's a statement about NA players. Even if NA players didn't knock out Socke or Ret, they did knock out the likes of Sen and SeleCT.

I apologize, I forgot about TLO. You're right and I take back what I said, there are some very good NA players. I did misinterpret the whole intention of your posts. Just consider that it's pretty normal to have alot of one group of players high in a tournament format if ~90% of the tournament consists of that group.

Considering, to have 5 non-NA players in the top 16 is a good feat.

IdrA was pissed after losing to Select.
You could see how infuriated he was.
His loss though, he should have been prepared for that.

IdrA needs to understand that he is better than everyone playing straight up most games.
So he's gotta think, yea, most of the people I'm going to face is going to cheese me at some point.
He really needs to change his attitude about his ZvT and it is actually a dangerous matchup for him.

No, it's not.

Close positions, maps like delta, and cheeses are dangerous for him.

One is luck, one is veto'ed, and the last he is extremely good at handling.

When 95% of IdrA's opponents either cheese or 1/2-base all in, one will eventually beat him with it. IdrA is probably the pro player with the most cheeses against him in the WORLD.

Really?

You mean a 2 gate or a cannon rush is on par with a Maka rax bunker contain?
IdrA has been knocked out by TERRAN cheese more than any other race.

Protoss timing attacks is what gets IdrA.

So yes, I'm still sticking with ZvT is a dangerous matchup for him.

I turned on the Tekken stream after reading this... some guy just broke his controller in a 3-second ragefit after losing.

edit: correction, he yanked his controller so hard it got unplugged... and they're considering disqualifying him.

If you don't like it, you can quit.
