I find it hilarious though that people are still trying to discount Foxer's road to the GSL 2 finals and not giving him the respect he deserves.

Its more of the fact that that making nothing but marines and beating an opponent who absolutely refuses to adapt isn't impressive. The fact that he is going to the finals is awesome he's playing good and all of his wins are well deserved. However, he hardly looks like one of the best players in the world.

But props to BoxerPrime, even Lim Yo Hwan respects his skills. (check out his previous interview) And I think that arguing over whether he is a "good" or "mediocre" player is kinda pointless, the kid delivers results, and on top of that, does it in style. Who cares if he doesn't win GSL3, this is his time to shine, give credit where credit is due. He wouldn't have beaten all those big name pros over so many games if he didn't have the skills, talent, and guts to do it.

IT was pretty 1 sided, he stole a game with a proxy banshee and that's it, Foxer's marines seem to have picked up the shot on the run from the phoenixes. So we may have Foxy Boxing in Finals.

Sure he is talented in ways (bio micro etc), and is demonstrating the potential power of mass tier1 units.. I give him credit in that regard. But let's call a spade a spade. this guy is almost cheesing without making it look like cheese.. Can you blame him? no. he wins. But I sure as hell can say that I don't enjoy watching his style of play one bit.. And I feel he is taking away from what could have been a much better GSL season.. NOTE: ITR deserved to lose completely through his inability to catch on or deal with sucha strategy. That's also quite clear. Fuck both ITR and fakeBoxeR ![]()

The fact that he is going to the finals is awesome he's playing good and all of his wins are well deserved. However, he hardly looks like one of the best players in the world. ITR did a crap job of adapting. But its not like thats the only opponent he's played. He also beat Sangho, Kyrix and Fruit, all of whom have *very* different playstyles. Kyrix in particular played a style that seems tailor-made to give Foxer fits, highly aggressive baneling pushes. It didn't matter, Foxer still beat him, albeit barely. When you win by doing what your opponent doesn't expect, that can be skill or luck. But when you win by doing *exactly* what your opponent expects, but just outplay him, then that can only be skill. Its amazing how everyone just says, "oh, you need to make [X] unit and then you'll easily beat Foxer." But in fact before this GSL people would have said units like speed banelings are a hard counter to marines, and Foxer handled those easily. If you micro them perfectly, Marines are basically the best unit in the game. They're incredibly cost efficient, have the range and anti-air to hit anything, have some of the best upgrades in the game (stim is outrageous, but combat shield is also great, and even normal weapons and armor upgrades benefit them enormously because you make so many of them...3/3 upgrades that apply to a hundred marines is a massive jump in dps and survivability). When they clump, they're vulnerable to splash and aoe...but Foxer never clumps them, in fact he spreads them on a nearly individual basis in many different directions at once. If you are that good with them, they can be cost efficient against almost any unit your opponent can build.

That's why there's gonna be a small marine nerf (either attack dmg or attack speed or stim) in one of the next two patches. you're really good at maeking marines. very useful talent toi have

That was a fantastic god damn game. We are seeing the dawn of a new style here with the slow-gas from Boxer.

Foxer's got his work cut out for him when he faces either NesTea or SlayerSBoxeR. Foxer mentioned himself that he's weaker against Zerg and even if he faces a Terran, it's a real BoxeR Terran so I am sure he will have his work cut out for him. He makes odd decisions at certains points in the game which is his weakness. ( Nuking hatcheries, Dropping into enemy forces etc. ) And the predictablity of his Timing Marine Aggression, however effective it is, will be his own weakness if the opposing player actually comes up with an idea to counter it or exploit it. But nevertheless, I find it spiteful of people to disregard his skill and not give him credit where it is due. As many have mentioned before, you've got be a tad bit clueless about SC2 if you aren't impressed at what kind of skills he has displayed so far. Yeah I'm one of those rooting for a Foxer vs Boxer final. But I hope NesTea's game is closer than HopeTorture's. Still, I respect them for doing whatever it takes for them to win. It's a guaranteed 20+k$ for goodnesss sake if they win. And a potential 85+k$.

Should he be blamed because he is so good he only needs to use marines to beat his opponents? After he wins this season he will only be allowed to use SCV's next season because he is too OP with marines. Reports were flooding in from bnet that he was too OP before the season started so they asked him to only use marines to make it fair to the other players. Looks like they failed so far. We will see in the finals.
