The amazing thing is that Foxer has had such an incredibly difficult run to the finals, but made his opponents look like scrubs every single time.

Let's not forget who he has taken out here:

Fruitdealer (winner GSL1)
Sangho (one of the top 4 protoss players around alongside Genius, Tester and Inca)
ITR (runner up GSL1)

3 of the best players of their respective races have all been made to look bad against him.

Not only that but he beat Kyrix as well, who has a totally different zerg playstyle to Fruitdealer.

This kid is such a baller and probably deserves to win the tournament based on what we have seen of him so far. I really don't see a zerg player beating him and I think his play is more solid than SlayerS_Boxer at the moment.

You perhaps didn't notice that Foxer was within an inch of being eliminated by Kyrix then, who is a relatively mediocre zerg player by GSL standards. He was also nearly eliminated in the Ro64 by another really mediocre zerg. In that series Foxer played AWFULLY. His other TvZ, against fruit dealer, he rock paper scissor'd Fruit Dealer twice when FD decided to FE and drone up greedily. You'd have to assume newcomers won't attempt that against Foxer knowing what they know now. So yeah, I don't think it's unreasonable to put serious question marks over Foxer's TvZ.

Nearly every word of your post makes my brain hurt.
Yeah, Kyrix is a mediocre zerg. Hell, everyone who doesn't play macro NR20 game is a mediocre player.
Every one who does thing other people don't do is mediocre. That's why kyrix is in ro8 and nearly ro4, and that's why boxer is in finals. Those 2 mediocre players.
Why don't everyone play a macro game like idra, so they could win it all.
And he "rock paper scissor'd dealer"...I would love you elaborate on this one. I'm sure you think foxer is a player who went allin in each of his games, hey. Those fucking 16cc alliners.

Foxer has proven that he's an absolute monster the way he's been defeating all the big names like ITR, fruitdealer, sangho etc. His marine control and banshee defense is nothing short of spectacular.. the way he predicts the banshee routes vs ITR reminds me of Flash .. so fucking crisp and smart player.

You don't get the point at all.

I also think that if Foxer were to face Zergbong in the final he would probably lose (with his current playstyle). Almost each games against kyrix he went for the same mass marines medivac and sometimes some tanks. Kyrix didnt abused it well enough (yes he had banelings, but no infestors to support them). It seems like Foxer is relying purely on his micro to win the game, and it was very close and Kyrix overcommitted numerous time. If Zergbong studies Foxer's playstyle he can come with something that will crush Foxer imo.

Sorry to tell you that you've made a few incorrect assumptions about me there. For the record, I think Foxer would definitely beat Idra, it's well known Idra's biggest weakness is early aggression. I say he rock paper scissor'd Fruit Dealer because Fruit Dealer's build little early defense, while Foxer's build was heavy early aggression. You accuse me of thinking it was all in or cheese because you're mad I criticised Foxer, but I actually think they were just good effective early pressure that Fruit Dealer wasn't ready for. His build beat Fruit Dealer like Rock beats Scissors. All the same, my point about nobody trying a greedy FE against Foxer again any time soon stands. And my point about him nearly being defeated by Kyrix and BabyWeRRa also stand.

As an addendum I'd like to point out that NesTea's practice partner is IMmvp and he gets a week to prepare for the final with him if he beats SlayerSBoxeR. Think about it.

I think that FoxeR was just screwing around the first game. His play was definitely wasn't as solid, and he tried fun things like nuking hatches. It would make sense that he would mask his own skill to trick Fruitdealer into underestimating him, which worked.

This is like watching Italian Calcio Serie A. It is, indeed, full of tactics, intense, highlevel metagame.
Unfortunately, sometimes it is also boring.

To an expert eye, these games could be very interesting and show good micro and timing.
But i am afraid not everybody is an expert.

So we don't have to argue if these series is good or not, it is just depend on each person point of view.

Actually, the only thing that will stop FoxeR's strat is good ovi drops as FD demonstrated in game 2 (but still lost )

How is zerg supposed to get infestors. They're so gas heavy, need energy and with FoxeR splitting marines so well, even infestors won't be useful unless he is caught completely off guard. What kyrix did was probably one of the better counters to FoxeR's strat and it almost beat him. Even FoxeR admitted that had he gone infestors, his marine ball would have steamrolled him during the transition.

Kyrix would have beaten him if he cut the aggression off creep and expanded whenever foxer's army was dead rather than trying to finish it.

Are you serious? He most likely lacked confidence in that game, in my opinion. However, I think it does provide some insight regarding discussion on his TvZ.
