About blizzard statistics , you should know that many times blizzard simply goes into outrageous claims than admit their failing with balance. Since early realease there was no major tournament that toss did anything special apart the latest blizzcon but statistically is more of a blanck swan than anything else. About restreams find me tha definetely law that legalise restreams or stop pulling claims out of your a$$. Last i check law in these matters - aka restreaming egames that are carried by a third party - aka bnet - doesnt not exist. Why is this cause is freaking hard to legalised a low quality restream from a game in bnet - which is supposevely free for all account holders and easy becomes a mess . so there is no law for that - least a definetely one and outside u.s there nothing - not to mention originall streams are from japan who are free to watch there so... MLG Raleigh as well as Blizzcon, but you mentioned that. Restreaming games is made illegal by just about every country's IP law on the planet. GOMTV owns the rights to SC2 and Battle.net. Therefore, they own the rights to every broadcast of the game. Therefore, restreams are illegal. There is no question as to whether or not they are illegal. Edit: Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Related_rights#Broadcasting_organisations 100% illegal.

I play random so I enjoy watching ALL matchups, yes including the 'dreaded mirror matches.' There are those who would say PvX is boring, and you would probably disagree. Thus, it's all a matter of opinion, and when it comes to the final 4, there's a fairly decent chance 1 race will be missing. If it happens to be the race you want to see, tough luck, but no one owes you anything. I'm not sure how you infer that I don't understand the matchups when I say that I don't think that some are as interesting. That's a pretty big logical leap that you are taking there. Again with the assuming. I actually don't mind playing mirror matchups at all, but when I am watching pro matches, I would much rather watch non-mirror matches because I find them much more interesting than non-mirror matches. Nothing more, nothing less. I do take other factors into account though and will be pleasantly surprised if the mirror matches we have coming up are, in fact, incredibly. I'm just not as excited as I was. I don't see anything wrong with that. I never said that anyone owed anything. I just stated my opinion and got flamed for it. Everyone has their own preferred matchups and that's fine. I was just stating mine.

Just curious, what is inherently wrong with restream of the free stream? I can understand restream of the HQ stream being frowned upon, since that is a service they are selling, but the free stream is, well, free anyways. I guess GOM doesn't like it since they can't track viewer activity on restreams.

and frankly is a f$ bs for us europeans. also the fact that is carried by a third party - bnet - that gives all acount holders free acess is soemthign to consider as well.

It´s a little more unstable but always works.

If Gom wants to enforce ownership of their tournament by stopping rebroadcasts let them by all means. That's their responsibility, not yours. Personally if it wasn't for restreams I wouldn't have seen a single live game, whereas TV shows and movies are purely torrented out of convenience. So which sickens you more, and would you like a link to the Dexter thread so that you can let them know too?

That's all well and good... but if they don't like restreamers, they REALLY need to fix their issues. During the match of FruitDealer vs Fake Boxer, my stream cut out when Fake Boxer first attacked. I couldn't reconnect via LQ or the LQ test stream. A LOT of people in the live chat had the exact same problem. When the stream finally let me in, game 1 was over. The same thing happened in game 2. Stream lagged and died. I couldn't watch the game. I paid for season 1 and season 2. Sometimes I watch VODs but I prefer LIVE. I have a 30/25 Fios connection. I can download at 3.9 MB/s sometimes. That is enough to watch 2 1080p streams side by side. So to you jerks that say "get a better connection..." please STFU. When I actually discovered that people were restreaming, I was sooooo happy. I realize that some people have better luck connecting to GOM's streams than others... regardless of connection speeds. Even though I always load up Gom's HQ stream first because it looks better... the second it dies or lags to the point of being unwatchable, I head over to a restream so I can actually watch it. I will continue to support GOM by paying for each season of the GSL... but I will also switch to a restream if the service fails to provide what I paid for.

And, by the way, since someone said it is possible to get a VLC link, I'll ask again: please, let me know how.

People post links to UFC streams in the threads here, I've yet to see someone talk about how those people disgust them for not buying the ppv. I don't know a single person who doesn't torrent movies and TV shows, should I be going out of my way to inform them that their actions make me sick to my stomach? Wait, what? This is a Starcraft forum. A lot of people here are emotionally invested in the success of "e-sports". I'm pretty sure that goes without saying. If you want you can give me your friends' e-mail addresses. I'll call them buttholes for you.

They don't. If your not happy with the free stream or want the VOD's, buy the the premium service. If you don't want to spend $20, tough you'll have to put up with the free stream (how in hell is $20 any amount of money to anyone, even a 13-14yr old, in anything but a highly underdeveloped country?). he just asked for a re-stream (I did it too) and with re-stream I asked for a re-stream of the free-stream. Its like the ESL stream, I dont get the octoshape thing to work and so I cant watch even the free-stream. Re-streams are great, especially because you just turn on ustream/livestream and dont have to install anything and some people are not always at home and can install every player on the world (its really strange that every site has his own players). Its not about getting better quality for free, its about seeing the free-stream, so plz stop crying no one is stealing your 20$.
