For any other newbies besides myself, I (FINALLY) found the VODs. Go to the ustream page itself, scroll down, and there's a section labeled videos with the VODs so far in reverse chronological order (a long with some other DJ wheat stuff after that). They're not on the blip archives as of yet. They're fantastic, especially for those of us who find the original stream too choppy or went to the Stewart rally, whatever.

Reminder folks: The show will begin again at 11 AM PST TODAY!]
Tune in to watch the semi-finals, grand finals, and showmatch with Greg "IdrA" Fields!

Drewbie lost over 200 more units than huk, mostly marauders. Bottom right was halfway mined out and he couldn't keep up that production so he left.
Really would of liked to see just a cycle of templars for archons would of impacted the game since he was sitting at 1500+ gas for awhile, but still was great play.
Good scouting by the observer let him feel safe to expand aggressively.

We go live in 1h30m at 11:30am PST. NOT 11am PST.

I thought that rock solid strategy of stim marauders -> run into opponents base -> do nothing couldn't possibly fail

Okay we're live at 11am now, i was mistaken before when i said 11:30am
First match is HuK/Machine
|
Not sure if this has been mentioned but will replays be released?
|
|
Slush vs. Huk.
Slush wins.
|
|
PROTOSS HWAITING! I want to see some late game carrier+templar play from HuK
|
So its Slush vs. Lzgamer, and Machine versus HuK if I'm not mistaken.
My vote is Slush over Lzgamer after seeing the slush versus kiwikaki games. Slush's play was very solid yesterday, as i'd imagine taking games off of a player like kiwikaki is very difficult. Kiwi's one of my favorite players in terms of trying to find the little things that he does. I'd need to watch the replays for the exact moment; but there was one point where he was going for the probe surround of an enemy unit in his mineral line so he set all the probes to gather at the patch nearby and they phased through the unit, and got a perfect surround.
HuK over machine after seeing the play yesterday against an aggressive player like drewbie. However, I do feel like HuK is sometimes stubborn about his colossi. I think it will come down to the effectiveness of mutas (if used), and their ability to separate and occupy the protoss army across multiple expansions.
We'll see though. I think that we have very good matches left.
side note: the mouse on the eg mouse pad is the steelseries ikari. I've been looking to buy one, but I haven't really found anybody with experience with the product. The most common thing I've heard is that the ikari laser is really bad in comparison to the xai laser. However, I like the shape of the ikari better, and I read that there was an issue with the xai's side buttons.

Drewbie vs HuK was some of the most exciting games I've seen so far
And as others have already mentioned, Dj Wheat & Day9 make for an excellent cast, looking forward to today's matches.

Even though I was disappointed with Huk's performance at Blizzcon, I root for him. Go Huk!
