Anyway the guy from DH himself admitted that their Dota tournement was an epic fail so i have nothing more to say. From my experience DH is bad, that's all. I in no way speak on behalf of DH, I can only speak for what I think for myself and what I know my co-admins have talked about. As I said, I'm (almost) as angry about the 2009 dota finals as you are. Both me and Ereskigal worked our asses of to run that tournament and I think we did a good job overall, Unfortunately we only had so much insight and influence on things such as the network, time schedules and last but not least, the setup for the finals (which were completely out of our hands). But let us leave the dota-tournaments in the past, and focus on the future with what we have learned from them. This year I'm back as one of the admins for the SC2 Tournament, something I would never accept doing unless I thought these problems were fixed. So, let's focus on making SC2 at Dreamhack the best LAN tournament so far.

Well, since the event only lasts 72 hours it would be hard to do a bigger bracket. Anyway, I'm so looking forward to this. Only problem will be how to fit everyone in the big arena when the grand finals are gonna be played. Sure the arena has 1100 seats. But there will be over 15k visitors at the event that day and I guess many will want to see the finals. Found some pictures of the arena from the summer event: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dreamhack/4719814490/in/photostream/

This is the biggest price pool of a tournament not directly sponsored by Blizzard themselves and considering it's in a tiny country like Sweden it's a big step for SC2 pro scene. Racist, much?

Americans are a single race? Seriously though, don't mind him. If he's serious he's just making a fool out of himself. Otherwise he doesn't warrant a response.

Of course Americans are a race... are you trying to get a rise out of people with further racism? =[ Anyway, despite having the 3rd biggest prize pool, it's still a really good prize pool! ~$15k first prize is definitely enough to inspire some fierce competition.
