It's good to see ret playing again, we haven't seen much of him in SC2 yet (the most memorable appearance perhaps being his "I forgot to make some units" stunt back in the Beta -.-), and he will be another interesting player to follow. Unfortunately Nani was a bit of a letdown this time, his play seemed a little uninspired and the whining didn't add much to the overall impression he made. Therefore it wasn't the big challenge for ret it could have been. But whatever, can't win em all and everyone has a bad day every once in a while.

I think this is the best matchup I like to play. Maybe in slight advantage of Protoss because of the maps, but I really feel that the better player wins there.

Great matches, most of the games naniwa only have 2 bases compare to 4 or 5 of ret's bases.

Voirdire that interview was 1 month ago. The game has changed from then, so you can't really put that on him.

Yeah you can't blame that interview as a contradiction to what he said. He just had to blame this patch because he refuses to blame his play. It wasn't unexpected from what I have read everyone expects him to BM even if the game was perfectly balanced or his race was still favored to win ^^.

Ret plays very well. Still not sure why he didnt go for a few ultralisks in game 1, or can phoenix actually lift those monsters up?

nope they can't - wouldn't make sense neither logically nor gameplay-wise

was surprised myself, ultras are a pretty strong response even when a protoss has phoenixes: "you kill my overlords? well guess what, I'll just kill your friggin base then"

Phoenix can't lift massive units. That would be hilarious!

Btw, during the games the caster (Schicky?) was talking about how it was unsure whether there would be another KOTH next week. Was that doubt just about this week, or is it unsure whether KOTH will continue at all?
