The game is too young to really form an opinion on who is the best as far as I'm concerned. Until the metagame is somewhat stabilised (which will be a long time coming) it's just too random to say. Obviously you can tell that some players are better than others, but it's pretty much impossible to say who the best foreigner is, especially when tournaments are having such radically different results. TOP and Tester failing to qualify is proof alone that anything can happen in this game, that a best of three can be won by either player unless there's a large skill gap, which isn't going to happen in pro games.

Idra obviously deserves to be up for discussion in any discussion about the best foreign player, of course.
Did you ever say Yes to a single joy?

Uhm, he's not that entertaining to watch at all... But he IS a solid macro player. He's got very strong fundamentals. His approach is basically a machine-type play. No gimmicks, no bullcrap, just starcraft.

That's not entertaining, but it is powerful.

He's very entertaining because you never know when he's going to to a stupid push through a PF defended with 5 tanks and 20 marauders with a bunch of Ultras then BM the Terran for playing a race with no self-respect.

I honestly can't wait to see his games, it will be hilarious to see him BM protoss players and their "low skill cap race" using "massive death ball of stalkers+colossi".

Well, I hope he will lose but I don't think it's very realistic :p. He will probably make it very far.

Idk how anyone can say that Idra is not entertaining to watch. I mean he isn't exactly making timing pushes or all-in's, but he's a very solid, good player which makes him worth watching on it's own. I love watching him defend harass, and then take half the map after the pressure lets up. Maybe some people just think that a heavy macro zerg is boring, but I can't get enough of watching him play.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

You seem pretty wrapped up with IdrA and are infinitely more annoying than the fanboys you're talking about. And how many times are you going to repeat the same line about the protoss death ball?

That said, I expect either IdrA, SeleCT or Huk to take this down.

I'm pumped up because players like him with a personality are what make a good part of the show, besides the games themselves.

There's always room for a good measure of trash talk, altough to a much lesser extent in official tourneys. Very few of IdrA's games are available because he's a very conservative player. The "storm into a choked point protected with a PF 5 tanks and MMM" thing I mentioned in a previous post is from a game vs drewbie and I don't even know WHEN this game was played. Nonetheless, it was so exciting to see him try to pierce drewbie in every orifice but nothing could get through until he made like 5 brood lords after 30minutes of raging and cursing at drewbie with delicious lines such as "you're actually the worst player I've ever seen" and "I want you to take a moment to think on how bad you must be to actually lose playing like this."

My only beef is that MorroW won't be attending. A grudge match between these two, and/or MorroW finally showing up as Zerg would draw a lot of attention. IdrA said "I'll never say the world 'balance' again if MorroW wins any credible tournament as Zerg" and I can't wait to see Morrow try and make him eat his words. Even if he Morrow fails and chooses to return to Terran, the backstage stories make the tournaments that much more interesting IMO.

IdrA is relentless. Once he gets is econ up, he just throws money at his opponent's base until it cracks. It's fun to see him deal almost no harass at all then suddenly swarm the other guy with brute force. Very different style than constant drops/hellion/VR harass seen by other players.

Watching players like Fenix/qxc is entertaining in a different way, because you basically need 4 monitors to follow every drops they're pulling simultaneously. Watching these guys actually make me cringe because I would be SO pissed playing against this style of play. IdrA's style is almost soothing.

The only person who I think will be able to stop Idra is kiwikaki, because his PvZ is pretty damn brutal.
