Chrome isn't nearly as memory consuming as firefox. And it's much faster imo. I've been using firefox for the past couple years and recently switched to chrome. The difference is pretty substantial.

The lag is from refreshing a bunch with octoshape.. check your running processes I disabled No Script and I finally got it to work with FF. However, things came to a crawl and when I opened up task manager, I noticed 2 OctoshapeClient.exe running. (Windows 7) I'll just use Chrome per usual. | ||

Firefox is a resource hog. they handle multiple tabs completely differently. chrome is better for multitaskers. | ||

It actually consumes more memory if you use a lot of windows/tabs since it uses a multi-process architecture. For the same reason it can be more processor heavy. | ||
