I can load every other webpage fine, have 10+ tabs open and not have any slowdown at all yet I get to the MLG page with it being the only tab open and my computer starts acting like it was made in the early 1990s. It's pretty much driving me insane.
I am just upgraded my system and it feels like i have a computer that struggles running window 98.

15 minutes changed to "soon".

Why don't people learn how to read threads before posting in them?

Is the stream not up for anyone?
Or is it just me...

The octoshape plugin is to blame I think, at least as long as I had the MLG stream tab open everything went so much slower...

Do I need to update the mlg page, or should the stream star automatically when it's up?

So when I try to load the free stream I know its not working but is it supposed to say "MLG LIVE STREAM Now Loading..." Mines been doing that for awhile I hope thats what everyones getting not just me

Well for me the stream is working but all there is right now is a screen saying winners bracket round 2 is coming up next. I can hear....music.... or some weird depressing industrial sound in the background so I know it's not just frozen either.

They must have gotten permission from blizz for that.
Seriously i tried to watch some vids on the mlg site while waiting and my computer slowed down to a halt. Normally have never had any issue with them and ive been watching stuff on mlg for a long time.

curse you dreaded stream demons

Let's just make a list of angry names for Octoshape while we wait
Here's my contribution: Cocktoshape

Looks like its a site wide issue for mlg and streaming. Because all of their other pages are down atm now as well. (cant watch halo 3 or halo reach.)
So its not just sc2, and they are working diligently on fixing it.

I use Opera, and it doesn't even support craptoshape, so I have to watch all streams that use it in Chrome :/ rofl. Why is Chrome better than Firefox? Chrome isn't nearly as memory consuming as firefox. And it's much faster imo. I've been using firefox for the past couple years and recently switched to chrome. The difference is pretty substantial. It actually consumes more memory if you use a lot of windows/tabs since it uses a multi-process architecture. For the same reason it can be more processor heavy. yup which is why chrome is better. You can have multiple tabs open and it still doesn't consume nearly as much resources as firefox. Maybe they'll fix it up with firefox 4. No comment regarding which is better, but what I'm saying is Chrome actually uses more if you've tons of tabs/windows open. Not that it matters much if you've 6GB+ which is what you really should these days.

So what game are we missing right now?

whoops sorry for not reading... ps a lot of people gave gunrun a hard time t seems but i think he did a really good job. Not as good as Day9 and the two of them could have collaborated better but i kind of liked the tone of his voice and he had intelligent things to say...just not quite as comfortable as day it seemed. Just wanted to balance all the negative comments towards him because i've seen a lot worse
