Don't split them up. Sit them at the left Xel'naga instead of the right one, They can easily retreat across the high ground if terran tries to push towards them, forcing the MM to go around. His AA can protect against vikings.

Instead of sitting in the red area, sit in the green area. You cover much more open flank and are aided by tower vision and the walls. The enemy attack path to your gold needs to go through you or take the long way around via the right Xel'naga. If you cause any sort of retreat you can push in a very short distance towards the main (yellow area), take out some buildings/addons/depots and move right back.
kiwikaki is no low-level noob, the thought that he would be "unable" to split up his main force is so ridiculous, it doesn't even deserve to be commented;
not splitting up the colossi was the right choice - there's simply no way to protect two groups of colossi;

Murder is 1-2 yes but his games went (0-2, 2-1, 1-2).
Drewbie is 1-2 but his went (2-0, 1-2, 1-2)
Suggy went 1-2 with (0-2, 1-2, 1-2)
Drewbie didn't lose as many games as suggy or murder so He should be advancing unless ESL is doing it differently.

The player who leaves the game loses, not the one who GG's. Even if HuK GG's and Murder leaves, Murder would lose. But he's obviously not that dumb.
There won't be a 3WT for Group A. Drewbie's has better map difference.
