I thought the ultralisk splash damage was increased by the size of the unit it was attacking, but it seems to only be the case for buildings. Sorry for the wrong info. EDIT: You know what, the second I come home from work I'm going to test this. It seems everybody is pretty confused ![]() It depends on the unit size yes, it has pretty much the same effect on Thors as it does on buildings because Thors are so big but it's always been like that.

I think you need hellion meat shield tho, to give thors time to use their 250mm cannons. The problem people have with his play is not that he made thors. The problem is that he was far ahead, then waited for cool to have 10 ultras exactly at the time be attacked. It was just a huge misstake not to attack with a timing attack alot sooner.

A mistake based on strategy. It's not like he can tech switch AFTER cool had 20 ultras out on the field - he could only hope for better positioning (like in that last battle). His strategy of going 2 fast expo into thors would work on 99% of zergs out there. Muta-ling? Hah! Roach hydra? Hah! Infestor ling? Hah! Banelings (remember, cool had a shitload of banelings midgame)? Hah! Not many zergs are using ultras, so he definitely was not so aware that his strat does NOT work on fast expand ultras.

I hate how people cant judge based on what they see and just say stuff like "omg X is one of the best Ts in the world" or smth as if it means anything. Remember when Idra canceled his CC in his series against nony? Nobody would have argued with "But Idra is the best foreign T in the world!!". That doesnt matter, he played worse and fucked up harder than D players on iccup in that game. Same thing with this game. Everybody who actually has some game understanding can watch this game and must come to the conclusion that in this particular game, the terran messed up reaaaaally bad. Thus, its fair to say he was terribad in this match, no matter how good he can be in other matches.
