TLO is actually ill, so his match will be take place at 20th, not 17th.
part of news from fomos.co.kr:
"...He informed that he has chickenpox." "...therefore his Ro32 match will be set on 20.sept." "...Instead, the match oGsZenio(Z) vs HongUnPrime (P) will be played."
GET WELL SOON, TLO!!!

UPDATE:
TLO seems doing fine. By this thread below, he shows not that many symptoms than in worst case. And because chickenpox is a well known illness, the medical care is provided.

We are finally settling in a bit in the new house and Dario gets this aggressive looking rash. At first we thought some sort of allergy and took him to the doctor who didn't really say much and gave him some random medicine. Next day it got a lot worse so we went to the hospital. They suspected chickenpox but the right doctor wasn't available and made us come back the day after. That is today we came home from the hospital a few hours ago and Dario was diagnosed with chickenpox.
In a way it is actually a big relief that we know what it is now, as it looks very worrying and at least chickenpox is a known infection. Dario is feeling pretty good given the circumstances. Adult chickenpox goes hand in hand with a lot of other symptoms usually, from which Dario seems to be spared for the most part. Slight headache and just being tired of the whole process and stress, but overall he is in good enough state to practice a bit and hopefully perform good enough to make it through another round in the GSL.

That's really nice of Gom :o They probably understand the importance of the non-korean audience quite well
So is he expected to get better by the 20th?
It is only option gomTV and TLO have imo.
Great news! Here is to hoping he can practice without being miserable 24/7. Or 24/6 I guess...

nice decision Hope he gets well soon and will be able to practice enough for ro32
I remember having chickenpox as a kid. It lasted for like two weeks and was really annoying. But, dont you get really sick if you contract it as an adult?
Anyways, hope TLO gets better and that he can practice enough.
man that really sucks even if TLO gets well by 20th, he will still practice less than he'd like to
on a bright side, zenio vs hongun should be great
If I were TLO, i would ignore the diseases and just keep practicing hard
Wow, slightly unrelated, but fomos.kr needs to get their shit together.

Im glad they are moving the match, but they probably would have done so for any player. Of course I bet that GOM is rooting for TLO and Idra because those two dramatically increase the viewership outside korea
Nice :>
Extra few days for TLO to get better
Get better soon
Musta ate some bad kimchi. Here's the TLO and his recovery!
Uhhh does he have chicken pox? Cus that would really, really suck. I wouldn't recommend practicing while you're sick either, it won't help if you can't focus and might actually make it worse.
yo someone airmail that TLO(really?) some CNS(chicken noodle soup) so he can GBS(get better soon)
thank God he isnt automatically DQ'ed, hopefully thats enough time for him to recover and play well =D, on the other hand I cant wait to see Zenio play =P
FUUUUUU my school internship starts on sept 20th... And tomorrow I have to help my prof at university move in his new office so I miss Idra ro32 as well.. blargh 8[
that's a nice move to give him some extra time to recover ! get well and the best of luck to TLO !
rofl.. chickenpox? TLO cant lose to no chickenpox!
I like Gom's decision here. Let's all hope TLO gets better soon.
Really hope this doesnt ruin his game. Get well and own hyperdub, even with chickenpox
aw man
i was looking forward to seeing both idra and TLO play their Ro32 matches this week
ah well, at least he is staying in the tourney
Guess I gotta call work and tell them I rescheduled my "dentist"
GL TLO

Get well soon Dario and kick some ass :>
FFS I was so happy I was gonna be able to catch both IdrA's and TLO's ro32 matches. Now I'll miss TLO's. time to get vod access I guess <.<
you can do it TLO, just get well and repwn
That's really nice of GOM. TLO HWAITING!

Good job GOM. Caring about players

Is the 'inside' joke any deeper than chicken box sounds like chicken pox? :p

On September 14 2010 23:17 TheFinalWord wrote: So is he expected to get better by the 20th? Well by then he shouldn't be contagious atleast. Probarbly not well but he is atleast not a threat to the others in the studio that didn't have chicken pox yet.
"A person with chickenpox is contagious 1-2 days before the rash appears and until all the blisters have formed scabs. This may take between 5-10 days. Children should stay away from school or childcare facilities throughout this contagious period. Adults with chickenpox who work amongst children, should also remain home." Source: http://www.dermnetnz.org/viral/varicella.html (New Zealand Dermatological Society)
Considering that TLO probarbly wouldn't have noticed that he had chicken pox until the blisters appeared he should probarbly not be, or atleast not be highly, contagious on monday.
The big problem is of course that I don't know how well you can practice or focus while having chicken pox and it might be not at all
Wow I guess Torch was right about Gom Caring. Being willing to change there schedule like this really earns them some good creditability in my eyes.
haha can you imagine kespa changing the time of a game to accommodate a foreigner who's just starting their career? Props GOM
How the hell did TLO have his first exposure to Chicken Pox just now? was he homeschooled?
That's cool of GOM... As long as this is the rule for everybody in the tournament.
This isn't nabbing at Europeans or anything, and it's probably ignorant to ask, but do most people in Germany get vaccines for chicken pox? I got vaccinated and it made chicken box into no big deal when I got it as a kid (granted, I'm not sure what it's like as an adult as a result )

I think in germany the vaccination became "normal" around 2000 or a little later. So i think TLO was just too old to be vaccinated normally and if he wasn't infected as a child, it is just bad luck for him
thats nice of gom!!
now our hero can recover!

I think age has a big role in that. I got it when I was 4 and it didnt bother me at all. I felt totally normal. I just had all these ugly bumps on me.
Hope chickenpox gg's before the 20th!
Wow I can't believe this... if he gets eliminated from the ro32 (from being sick the day of or having not practiced enough) I will seriously cry.
Very glad to hear TLO is still gonna be able to compete. Can't wait for the 20th now!
Good news for TLO. Nice to see GOMTV helping out the players as much as they can
A good resolution for both GOM and TLO.
Omg I thought this topic was saying htey forced his forfeit.

awesome by GomTv, they know how much he means to the foreigner community
I think the few extra days will help him feel alot better.
Has any one considered the possibility that GomTV deliberately infected TLO with chickenpox for the sole purpose of creating a situation where they could then publicly display their compassion and win over the hearts of foreigners?
Hey I'm just a guy, a guy asking questions.
If Gretech isn't being funded by hamas why are they refusing to come out and release a statement to the contrary? Are we to believe that it's only because such an accusation is absurd and completely without basis?
mmk just asking questions. Just a guy askin em'
Seriously though, TLO get well soon! I don't hate you any more because you finally picked a race (even if it's because you had to)
chickenpox can be serious for adult.
Sucks for TLO. Hope he can still get some practice in.
I'm interested to see what he looks like now in the booth :D. Whip out the white mask (movie style) for dramatic effect.

It still sucks if your'e older. I got it when I was almost TLO's age and it was the worst thing I've ever been through health wise. It is seriously not fun. He will need the time to recover.
If I were TLO I would get a red sharpie and write "TLO" in dots on my forehead for his next game on the 20th.

I only said it can be really dangerous only if you're immunosupressed.. still annoying though Anyway I'm quite sad, because if it's really chickenpox I'm afraid TLO won't be able to play, even the 20th Even if he can he certainly won't be able to train properly the next few days

Aaaaaaahhhh plaaaguuuu! Get better soon TLO

That cracked me up so much. I can picture them ventilating his box with the virus, then during a press release "KeSPA would never be so compassionate" :-P
That sucks but atleast he has time to recover and to play extremely well I hope ! gooo TLO FIGHTING
Very cool of the organizers to do this. Another plus point!
Nice that they changed the day he plays, I was afraid he'd get disqualified or something.
Chickenpox? Really? How are you an adult and haven't had them yet? I guess thats what happens when you dont have human contact most of your life due to video games lol :D Either way cool of them to switch the dates for his situation

What a joke. Terran is OP versus chickenpox. Just look at the statistics.
lol.
I'm pulling for TLO, and I'll be the first to say how much this sucks, but how random and hilarious is it that he came down with chickenpox?
Oh well. Get well soon, TLO. GL in the RO32!
wow chickenpox at a pretty late age! @_@!
So koreans are trying to nerf terran any way possible ; )
Really nice gesture from gomtv btw! Appreciated!
Im pretty sure it's all lie, he just need more time to plot some incredible strategy and he called the KR mafia about it.
That's littleone is a gangster
seriously please change the title of the thread, when i first read it i thought he got displaced from the tournament....
Aw - I was hoping to see more TLO action this Friday, but I'm glad that the game's delayed to give TLO time to hopefully recover!
Get well soon, TLO!
TLO just needs to build Marine/Marauder to counter chickenpox.
Seriously, props to GOM for moving the match instead of making him forfeit or something lame like that. Nice moves like this make me want to buy the $20 vod subscription, and I think I will this weekend.
Get well soon TLAF-Liquid-TLO!
He's so lucky they are letting him play.
Get well soon TLO.
Hope you are well soon TLO, and good luck with your matches from New Zealand

why would you get vaccinated for chickenpox? its not like it'll kill you, as its not really harmful to children. Its like these paranoid people who get vaccinated for the flu when they dont really need to
If you get it as an adult its alot worse though

Nice to see Koreans care about foreigners.
cool that they have made allowances for him
Build Battlecruisers and Yamato the 'pox. It's the only way man.

hes gonna incorporate it into his build dont worry

get well soon
