but seriously: why is it, that PvZ always goes to longer macro-games while in TvP "strangely" many games end with a successful T-timing-push totally raping the P?

I hope jung goes for void rays this time

yes cuz this never happened in Broodwar right?

This was my 2nd time watching live (the first was Day1), I watch the VODs only on the other days. I must say Gomtv's improved a lot in just a few days. Day 1's stream was horrible, but today's stream was much much better.

I now ponder why the HQ live stream is better quality than the VODs D:

WTB: Higher quality VODs

Yeah.. you are right. The zerg played extremly well. What I most liked about the zerg where his fantastic transitions from one unit composition to another, really countering the build from TLO. What a joke he would have been if he only relied on one unit. Like roaches or something like that.

It really tied the room together.

Lol I hope helping TLO doesn't wind up biting Idra in the ass.
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

TLO has now has to face a couple of his affliated teammates from oGs, right?

That's not much fun.

Sarcasm aside, the Zerg player DID play very well. He knew roaches were terrible at max supply, so he looked for opportunities to army-trade. His roaches DID counter the build from TLO at the beginning... he just should have switched versus Siege Tank/Thor, which he did, but it was too late.

TLO's build was the most impressive part of Game 1 to me. The timings were crisp and the Hellions seemed to tank the damage well. It was basically Marine/Tank, except with Hellions in place of the Marines. He definitely could have lost if he didn't abuse the timing window perfectly where the Broods weren't out yet, but he did.

I think both players played really well, and like Artosis and Tasteless and tons of others mentioned, it sucks that Losira had to play somebody really good in the Ro64. If Losira had gone up against some of the less impressive players in the Ro64, I feel he could have gone a lot farther.

VOD quality has noticeably improved, I can actually read out all the text and numbers. Very pleased with the service so far and can't wait for the round of 32.

I kinda agree with ya too Alpina. I thought Losira played really solid the first game and I wasn't to impressed with TLO. I don't know what else Losira could've done in game 1. Those tanks were just too much.

I agree. =( Honestly, not surprised that ALL the terrans advanced. Hopefully Check and Idra will gg every one of them. As a zerg player, honestly first game was just really annoying to watch because we've all been in those situations where you go "I'm winning!" and then opponent just goes "LOLTERRAN" 200/200's out. This was fine in BW because youc an always stygmy and pick crap off the 200/200 mech but nothing in SC2 can do that. Gah sorry turning into Terran imba rant now but I just couldn't help thinking that if TLO was ANYONE else, there would be cries of foul already from that game. Not so much that he didn't play well as much as Zerg just couldn't do anything.

On the brackets link it shows IdrA's opponent as T.
I think this must just be a mistake right? Since they don't allow you to change races.

Well, maybe the sarcasm was a bit too obvious ;-)
I also think that losira played really well but I also think that TLOs play was pretty impressive. I don't know what the people want him to play but in the end its also a little bit about winning. His timing was really good. His micro was as good as always. Sure, he didn't invent the master-strategy in those 2 games but also it wasn't necessary to do so.

And I cannot really say that the zergs play was "inspiring" like some posters did in this thread (though thats their opinion). I really would have liked it if he would got that transition earlier but maybe that wasn't possible due to the pressure from TLO.
It really tied the room together.
