Just a question popping up a lot "Can we enter in more than one qualifier/bracket?", to clarify:

YES you can play in all four Qualifiers if you wish.

NO you can only play in ONE bracket per Qualifier.

Guys I am changing the time to 6PM, will PM all info later this afternoon. Reason for the time change is that it suits the admins better and makes not much difference to you guys. 5:30 is a good time to turn up to ensure you have everything in order, including your profile set up to show your bnet ID and so that you know the map pool.

Games will start on Saturday September 18th; 6:00PM Sydney time AEST (8:00PM NZST; 4:00PM SST; 5:00PM KST) and continue until the final 8 players are left standing.

Please read THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Also take note that a new map has been added to the map pool:

(Wiki)XelNaga Caverns

Very sorry for the late notice, but I don't think it should have too big an impact on everyone I hope.

The WD PSI Storm 2010 Qualifier #2 commences tonight at 6:00PM (afternoon) GMT+10 (AEST)

PLEASE update your cybergamer profile with your Battle.net information so your opponent can find you. If not, at least ensure you are in the IRC channel in time (#cybergamer on gamesurge) and make yourself known to your opponent. If you have not made contact or updated your profile with your character ID and number code you may be forfeit!

Here's how to set up your profile:

www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/p2879094#2879094

Regarding replays, all must be uploaded here:

www.cybergamer.com.au/upload/

Report the results of your games on your match page (under Match Details on the bracket) so it automatically updates your position in the tournament. Match pages look like this:

www.cybergamer.com.au/matchdetails/89338/

All rounds are BEST OF 3, and the loser picks the map from the map pool below after the first map for that round is played:

Map order:

Round 1 (Ro128): Xel'Naga Caverns
Round 2 (Ro64): Blistering Sands
Round 3 (Ro32): Metalopolis
Round 4 (Ro16): Lost Temple
Round 5 (Ro8): Scrap Station
Round 6 (Ro4): Steppes of War
Round 7 (Final): Metalopolis

Map Pool (all maps are to be picked from this map pool):
* Blistering Sands
* Scrap Station
* Steppes of War
* Lost Temple
* Metalopolis
* Xel'Naga Caverns

TO REPORT YOUR RESULTS ON THE BRACKET:

BOTH players must enter the score on the MATCH DETAIL PAGE (get to this by clicking Match Details on your game in the bracket). If both players enter differing scores the match will be dispuuted and an admin may have to manually enter the results so if your opponent does not know how to update the match page with the score please inform them.

CHAT ROOM:

You must be in the appropriate IRC channel to contact your opponent, and it will also have your admin for your bracket as below. You will need to join both of these channels on the server irc.gamesurge.net

#cybergamer
#psistorm.#

Where # is replaced with your bracket number, so for example if you are in Bracket 3 you will be in both chatrooms #cybergamer and also #psistorm.3

PLEASE NOTE THAT IRC CHAT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR CONTACTING YOUR OPPONENT SO PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH ITS USE BEFORE THE GAME TIME.

mIRC is a popular client for IRC chat, download it here:

http://www.mirc.com/get.html

ADMINS:

In the case of a dispute please contact your assigned bracket admin:

Hey all, just an update for you from CyberGamer ...

TobiWan & Pandan will be bringing this to you LIVE from CyberGamer MatchTV

Some of you might recognise TobiWan as one of the best english commentators for DotA & HoN out there at the moment - so come and listen while he commentates some matches on home turf!

The games start in about 15 minutes, so buckle up for some fast and furious gaming - thanks to the WD Velociraptors!
I play RANDOM, poorly.

iaguz did well in the first Aus/NZ transtasman tournament, spidzor is a well know strong 2v2 player.

I guess personal PMs for every player detailing map pool, thread with map pool, and map pool spammed on IRC is not enough for even the most observant SC player. Maybe I should add lots of sparkles and colours so it's more like the game?

Kinetic If you even knew what happened you should be THANKING del, reflex started the game while del was alt tabbed, del did try and say wait wrong map abot 60-120 seconds into the game. he did everything he could to contact the players. If he followed the rules domo would be banned from CG tournaments for BM'ing an admin.

Psht, battlecruisers vs Archons, are you mad?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!

Also, if you are commentating PvP, it helps when you actually keep the camera where the battle is. Almost threw up on the LT domo vs Reflex game at the first blink stalker/reflex confonrtation and we couldn't see what was going on. I almost threw up again at the quality of the play (I don't even play PvP and I know that a void ray rush should never really work. I do know NoNy made a fast phoenix build that was popular in beta but kinda died out eventually in favour for hardcore robo facility plays. Yes it's boring but when you get a race like protoss which mostly consists of very hard to kill units that don't deal excellent damage and then give them a very hard to kill unit that actually does do loads of damage then one understands why getting this unit is a must. Same for observers too, really)

You probabally shouldnt do that.. because then instead of me making the wrong map ild actually forget to make it because ild be to busy observing the little sparkles and colours. Ild get a bit to excited.

First things first: Brad = worlds best post.

deL: Not sure how you can blame DoMo for what happened between him and Reflex last night. It's an admin (read: your) error. Reason? WHY THE HELL WERE YOU TABBED IN THE FIRST PLACE?
WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING ONCE YOU JOINED THE LOBBY AND SAW THE MAP WAS "KULAS RAVINE"?
ARGH!!!
But you're human. We all forgive you. Everyone makes mistakes.

Fortunately Reflex exhibited a degree of sportsmanship that is shown very rarely from my background (wc3) and agreed to a regame; top bloke move and NZ is very lucky to have someone who is willing to display integrity.

Oh yeah, and Unstable, really dude? Stick to casting, seriously.

This thread is turning into a episode of neighbors.

On a more 'on topic post'

Congratulations to all the qualifiers, and great job to deL and the admin staff as far!
Within the perfect architecture of thought, Logic may often provide the structure -- but from emotion came the inspiration.

For those that are unaware - the VoDs for this tournament are being catalogued here; http://www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/170108/Western-Digital-Psi-Storm-VoDs-Streams/

Unstable needs a system to record his so we can put his there too! I'll get in touch so he can use our software!
I play RANDOM, poorly.

Please don't comment on what you have no idea about. DoMo wasn't blamed for what happened between himself and RefleX, but for his abuse and tone afterwards. It's not an admin error I am not there to babysit every single game, I was not going to even join but RefleX added me to the lobby and I just hit accept and got on what what I was doing - the players have to play under that map pool from the very beginning and if they can't get it right by the finals then that is their problem and they will be to blame. Like I said, it was a simple regame but DoMo carried on and made it worse for himself.

EDIT: I know you guys are all a clan but I am not impressed with most of the comments from Downfall, tread carefully guys you don't want to get a bad reputation this early in the game's history.
