Just a question popping up a lot "Can we enter in more than one qualifier/bracket?", to clarify:

YES you can play in all four Qualifiers if you wish.

NO you can only play in ONE bracket per Qualifier.

Guys I am changing the time to 6PM, will PM all info later this afternoon. Reason for the time change is that it suits the admins better and makes not much difference to you guys. 5:30 is a good time to turn up to ensure you have everything in order, including your profile set up to show your bnet ID and so that you know the map pool.

Games will start on Saturday September 18th; 6:00PM Sydney time AEST (8:00PM NZST; 4:00PM SST; 5:00PM KST) and continue until the final 8 players are left standing.

Please read THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Also take note that a new map has been added to the map pool:

(Wiki)XelNaga Caverns

Very sorry for the late notice, but I don't think it should have too big an impact on everyone I hope.

The WD PSI Storm 2010 Qualifier #2 commences tonight at 6:00PM (afternoon) GMT+10 (AEST)

PLEASE update your cybergamer profile with your Battle.net information so your opponent can find you. If not, at least ensure you are in the IRC channel in time (#cybergamer on gamesurge) and make yourself known to your opponent. If you have not made contact or updated your profile with your character ID and number code you may be forfeit!

Here's how to set up your profile:

www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/p2879094#2879094

Regarding replays, all must be uploaded here:

www.cybergamer.com.au/upload/

Report the results of your games on your match page (under Match Details on the bracket) so it automatically updates your position in the tournament. Match pages look like this:

www.cybergamer.com.au/matchdetails/89338/

All rounds are BEST OF 3, and the loser picks the map from the map pool below after the first map for that round is played:

Map order:

Round 1 (Ro128): Xel'Naga Caverns
Round 2 (Ro64): Blistering Sands
Round 3 (Ro32): Metalopolis
Round 4 (Ro16): Lost Temple
Round 5 (Ro8): Scrap Station
Round 6 (Ro4): Steppes of War
Round 7 (Final): Metalopolis

Map Pool (all maps are to be picked from this map pool):
* Blistering Sands
* Scrap Station
* Steppes of War
* Lost Temple
* Metalopolis
* Xel'Naga Caverns

TO REPORT YOUR RESULTS ON THE BRACKET:

BOTH players must enter the score on the MATCH DETAIL PAGE (get to this by clicking Match Details on your game in the bracket). If both players enter differing scores the match will be dispuuted and an admin may have to manually enter the results so if your opponent does not know how to update the match page with the score please inform them.

CHAT ROOM:

You must be in the appropriate IRC channel to contact your opponent, and it will also have your admin for your bracket as below. You will need to join both of these channels on the server irc.gamesurge.net

#cybergamer
#psistorm.#

Where # is replaced with your bracket number, so for example if you are in Bracket 3 you will be in both chatrooms #cybergamer and also #psistorm.3

PLEASE NOTE THAT IRC CHAT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR CONTACTING YOUR OPPONENT SO PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH ITS USE BEFORE THE GAME TIME.

mIRC is a popular client for IRC chat, download it here:

http://www.mirc.com/get.html

ADMINS:

In the case of a dispute please contact your assigned bracket admin:

Hey all, just an update for you from CyberGamer ...

TobiWan & Pandan will be bringing this to you LIVE from CyberGamer MatchTV

Some of you might recognise TobiWan as one of the best english commentators for DotA & HoN out there at the moment - so come and listen while he commentates some matches on home turf!

The games start in about 15 minutes, so buckle up for some fast and furious gaming - thanks to the WD Velociraptors!
I play RANDOM, poorly.
