Is there a reason to not allow PS2 despite it being a rule?

Will anyone be re-streaming this? Octoshape literally cost me money this month with ESL. It was uploading so much that I went over my bandwidth cap. I uploaded like 20 gb during ESL

PS2 is technically not hot pluggable, plugging or unplugging a PS2 device into a running computer can damage the motherboards microcontroller. The chances of it happening on any modern hardware is extremely small but it can happen, and apparently has happened in MLGs past.

PS2 is not made for hotswapping, you have to shut down your computer before plugging in the hardware to not run a risk of frying your mobo. In LAN situations the hardware changes almost once an hour so the risk of something fucking up is rather high. Newer mobos usually don't suffer from this problem but apparently the ones they use in MLG computers have it or they're just taking the safe route.
edit: floor exercise so quick~~

I uploaded like 20 gb during ESL I've encountered a lot of problems with Octoshape as well and would really like to be able to use another streaming service. No idea what MLG's official stance on restreaming is though, I can imagine it being difficult to gauge interest if the viewers are split between multiple streams.

Not sure about re-streams, I doubt it will be allowed. We'll have to wait and see.

I'd recommend using NetLimiter if you have crazy upload with octoshape. Its a free trial (fully functional) that allows you to dictate exactly how much bandwidth any program is allowed to use.
Restreaming definitely impacts our viewer counts and other stats which are what we use to show MLG how successful the stream was and why they should want to have more and bigger StarCraft tournaments. I know you don't know me personally or any of the other guys that worked really hard to get this far, but having your support by either watching the free stream on mlgpro.com or purchasing the HD pass means a lot to all of us.

Is MLG's site being very slow/loading badly or is it something on my end? I'm hesitant to buy the HD stream if I'm not sure I won't be able to even load the site properly D:
Edit: Seems to be an issue on my end, nevermind :o

Just wait they are just updateing the site to get ready for the event.
Their HD stream should be very good.
EDIT: link to their stream http://events.mlgpro.com/takeovers/procircuit/titles/tekken?site_id=mlgpro
That should load fine.

Any idea when the bracket will be up?
|
|
will there be a bracket posted somewhere ?
|
Anyone know if someone is doing a live re-stream of this event? I get so excited when these big events roll around and I can't watch it due to octoshape never fully working for me. Hopefully one day the premium pay streams at least don't use it.

Here @ Around 5pm EST.

So are there any bracket or place were you can see who is playing who? I've tried clicking around the mlg website with little success. Maybe I just suck at the internet.
Edit: Sorry didn't see the post above me.

LANs are just not the same without LAN. I saw sjow on us server and i was like yea he mightve very well stayed in europe and played it from there makes no difference.

Personally, I think it's nuts to pay for a premium stream that you have to host yourself and with other people paying for the premium stream. It's also misleading to call it an "HD stream" when it's not in HD quality, and nowhere on the page to purchase it does it tell you that the actual resolution is youtube standard quality, not 720 lines that we expect from the "HD" denotation.
