Gretorp is in the loser's bracket iirc. The finals is the winner of the winner's bracket vs. the winner of the loser's bracket, so he still has a chance.

QXC v HuK going to be epic, winner of this match will take the tournament in my opinion.

So, can players from Lower bracket still get into the final games?
Nadagast doing pretty well

Yes of course. Google "double elimination tournament"
The funny thing about double-elim, is the possibility that the finals will have to be played twice in a row. Basically the winner of the winner's bracket plays against the winner of the loser's bracket in the Finals. BUT, if the winner of the loser's bracket WINS the first finals series, then they have to play the finals AGAIN, since the winner of the winner's bracket has to be "double-eliminated."

Okay, thanks Ami!
Hopely Gretorp/incontrol/painuser gets to the finals.
|
Does the winner of the losers bracket have to beat the winner of the winners bracket twice to win the whole thing? I know the way fighting games do it is that the winners winner only has to win the final once, wheras if the losers winner wins then he has to beat the winners winner a second time.

the stream is not live? started with catz vs lz on metalopolis, then switch to dilver vcs gretorp in the middle of the game 2
|
Yep same here without any word from the commentator.
|
Yeah, it skipped for whatever reason. Replays anywhere?
|
Stream is a restream from friday night, should explain the skipping

I really don't like the tourney format. much better with group stages and single elimination after that.
|
Ah ok thanks you.
Do you know when it will be live again (GMT) ?

MLG should be ashamed for setting a WoW terrid like Nadaghast up against unknowns the entire tournament and have two of the better players in Machine and Incontrol do a teamkill. I'm very disappointed, but am hopeful for a better day2 now that most of the lower-tier players are out.
Also, sad to see Tyler eliminated. He was my pick to win the tournament

It was _most likely_ lottery, so yeah lets all blame MLG for bad luck, huh?

Expecting more from socke tbh!

Although they said the seeds were random, don't you find it a little odd that every single game, besides Machine vs. InControl, was Pro invitee vs. no-name walk on? That doesn't sound too random to me.
|
Really shocked to see Tyler get eliminated. He was my pick, and tbh was the only one that super-impressed me with his execution. Granted he was playing J3tty, but beyond winning, I had the impression "this guy is good and knows the game on a deeper level", which I dont get from some of the other people winning games.
