game 1 was not even fun to watch, those reapers just killed idra, in second game idra held it off and won, pretty much like i remember previous games in this tournament - hold on first few minutes of reaper harras - and win, suffer too many losses - lose. my question is, is there any "good" or safe defense against the early reaper harras? cause right now it seems kinda random, some games idra defends, some games he doesnt (like he defended this game even tho the distance was very very short and he even lost the overlord, but last game he failed to defend)

WoW doesn't really have the same variety of strategies that starcraft has, and Morrow knows that he can't win if Idra knows what's going on. Maybe you can, and maybe you can't. Idra scouted it in the first game, and he pumped drones instead of getting his roaches+speed out first. I think it's perfectly reasonable for Morrow to use his one-game advantage to press Idra again and see if he can handle the 5-rax. Now that Idra's shown his ability to counter it, it's more reasonable to expect Morrow to switch it up.

come from WoW, but I really don't understand this "using the same strategy over and over is bad!" mentality. If it's working, why would you change it? If it's not, then you can legitimately blame someone for not changing their plan. And where is the pro scene in WoW now? Nowhere, and it never will be. Depth is when a game has alot of viable ways to defeat your opponent, not a ultimate way to win. Mages go a specific Frost build in WoW, usually team up with RMP or a castercleave and do very specific things, get haste up and every game looks the same. The last thing in the world SC2 should copy is ********* World of Warcraft!

I can't comment on whether it's "op" but it certainly isn't a free win, seems like a good aggro opening to me :>. Especially against Idra who will inevitably destroy Morrow the further along the game gets. The only way Morrow can win this tournament is by ending games early and showing constant aggression.

His nerves got the better of him I think and he did the common mistake of trying to end it instead of just play it out. We've all done it before at one time or another in one form or another.

If you make one little mistake and lose a queen, they will overwhelm you. But if you manage to survive until Mutas, the Terran is in trouble.
