To deny the show match outright would be somewhat understandable. But to pull it midstream was just a classes act.

I don't know the whole story... but if they tried to Yank Idra off, I wouldn't be surprised if he told them to fuck off. He isn't competing in broodwar anymore and Kespa as no control over SC2 at the moment. It could mean expulsion from CJ or something, which would suck, but given the winner gets 5 grand it'd probably be something he'd seriously consider.

A bit strange, but i think he's not an sc : bw progamer anymore, he stays at CJ house as an SC2 pro

If progamers switch over and practice for a cpl months I dont see foreigners stopping them. They have trained their mechanics and multitasking for a long, long time and reached a level that will not be reached by foreigners in quite some time imo. No shot with that statement being true. The core of good rts play which is mirrored in sc2 from sc1 is micro/macro/multitasking. Something learned over the course of a very long period of time. Those skills immediately apply from sc1 to sc2 which was why you saw so many sc1 players absolutely annihilating every other rts player in the beta and also now. How many new names do you see in the sc2 scene compared to sc1? The turnover is minute and thus your concept doesn't apply. FFS Day9 barely plays and hits r1 in his bracket np, core skills that translate easily from one game to another is key here. SC2 was designed for sc1 players to jump in and go "Hey, yea this makes sense to me" and be able to pick it up very quickly.
