7 Terrans and 1 Zerg doesn't seem too unlikely for the quarters >_<, just hoping either hasu, naniwa or IdrA manages to qualify out of groups. IdrA probarbly will though.

The question is : why ?

Are good players less attracted by this race because of how it can evolve/how it’s played ? Balance issues ? Is it just because there no other good protoss here (Socke, Tester…) ?
I’m scared SC2 will turn like BW with difficult times for protoss (except the Bisu era now definitely over)

Socke is clearly missing (had some great tournaments). Huk has no offline experience and that's why i think he had quite a hard group against Madfrog+TLO. Other than that, HasuObs has still a decent chance in my opinion. White-RA somehow didn't perform very well since the release of SC2.

Most players are appealed by Terran because of the campaign and all the buzz about dominion and liberty. Other than that, stats show that there are more protoss players than zerg players overall.

It's mostly because not that many Ps were invited (Where's Socke ffs?) + White-ra really dropped the ball badly, he s cerainly good enough to be in the quarters, Huk got unlucky a bit, i guess he already thought he would advance, but Morrow got hismelf 2-0ed which left Huk no chanse to qualify, so he fcked up his game against Artosis. At least the 3rd game, which i saw, was totally a throw away. And here are mostly Europeans, and P just doesnt seem to be that popular in Europe. Once i was checking the ladders, and i think at the SEA server Ps outnumbered Ts in the top 50 or 100, unheard of, i know, but it seemed like that.

I am not talking about the appeal of the race to new players or even to really decent players. I am talking about the tip top players like Idra, Tester, Cool, etc.

No considering the balance of the game here, there are much more « zerg heroes » than « protoss heroes ». I mean… so so so so much more.

It is sad that no P have advanced and that there is little hope that one will get past the ro8 if he comes out of the group stages but I think it is because both Huk and WR did not play up to their potential. I hope that the GOM tournament has a good race balance but blizzard might patch zerg a little soon. Anyway I hope tlo takes the tournament.

ESL schedule says it'll be Lucifron vs SarenS instead of Hasu vs Dimaga.

Anyone can confirm this?

Huk choked on the big stage and there wasn't even a crowd in attendance. Needs to develop ice in his veins like most Canadians.

Hope Dimaga plays to his potential today.

Apparently they've listed all of the matches starting at 14:25h on the main page. According to the schedule it's still Hasu vs Dimaga on ESL TV:

I don't think that you can count the campain and the liberty as a factor for choosing terran at pro level ...
