He made some key mistakes with his wall-ins and despite Dimaga's relatively transparent strategy he was unable to capitalize. Also the re-rematch with TLO where he got 4-0'd saw White-rA have trouble with mid-game macro and not really make necessary adjustments in his play style.
he has 2 job man and hes married , consider that hes still in good shape .

In TLO game supposedly there was a lot of lag. Maybe he just doesn't have that much time to play as he does have a wife/fiancee, second job and he is studying. Phase 2 didn't last that long so maybe he just had a bad week because of some real life stuff. Some stress and your games can completely go down the drain.
From his interviews I also got that he just took it easy between phases, not playing really anything and there are limits on what you can do with just a week.

White-ra's play was fine, really. He was faced with 3 all-in rushes from Dimaga. He defended it the first time. And he just didn't wall hard enough the next two games. He correctly scouted the rush each time and came up with a great response. It was just minor execution errors that lost him those two games.

When will day 3 be posted?

You know what the best thing about tonight is? We won't have to hear screams of "X race is overpowered" in the chat.
2 PvPs

Doesn't stop Zergs from whining about how they hate ZvZ. Also, IntoTheRainbow is Terran.

I noticed his play in this tournament was much better than his showmatch vs TLO. I figure that the games vs TLO in the showmatch were more like practice games, WhiteRa was just kind of experimenting with some different plays. He obviously wouldn't want to reveal too much about his prepared tournament builds. He played very well vs qxc, and he did well vs dimaga also; please consider that dimaga has been playing these aggressive builds pretty much since the beginning of the beta, and WhiteRa defended admirably without any real practice vs it.
Also: Huk is kinda screwed here lol. The only way for him to advance that I can see is he has to beat tester, and then TLO has to 2-0 both Tester and Idra.

"Minor execution errors" are what separate pros from the rest of the top players. Plus, I don't blame dimaga. He was down 1-0 and had nothing to lose. He probably did the math in his head and figured he had a better chance if he played super aggressively. His "all-in rushes" were also a direct response to White-Ra's fast expo in all 3 games.

And "minor execution errors" between two pros seperate one pro from the other pro on the pro-ness meter.

in PvP, whichever of the players to first go double cybercore will clearly be OP

The games are even being uploaded on the same day.
Thanks for your help, those WILL allow me to watch the games. I was looking for Replay+comment track though, I greatly prefer to watch the replays from my own camera... Sean's commentary is awesome but I don't like how most casters seem to purposefully avoid areas of the map where I'm interested in seeing what's going on.

White-rA: 1. White-Ra beats IntoTheRainbow 2. Qxc beats Dimaga 2-0 3. IntoTheRainbow beats White-rA 2-1 and Qxc beats Dimaga 2-1
Dimaga: 1. IntoTheRainbow beats White-rA and Dimaga beats Qxc 2. IntoTheRainbow beats Write-rA 2-0 and Qxc beats Dimaga 2-1 3. White-rA beats IntoTheRainbow, Dimaga beats Qxc, and Qxc beats IntoTheRainbow
Qxc: 1. Qxc beats both Dimaga and IntoTheRainbow
edit: this assumes the main tie-breaker is win/loss record (as opposed to head-to-head results).

It's funny that so many people complaining that Dimaga is cheesy . The interesting thing is that he almost never cheeses in SC1 - hell he even has nicknames "default zerg" and "macro zerg"

So many haters in this thread:
Dimaga: Anyone who calls his play cheesy is plain stupid. Being aggressive and cheesy are two different things. What Dimaga did was totally defendable if White Ra had made better decisions that game. End of story.
Huk: Good Protoss, made mistakes, get over it. Is he the same caliber as these other players? That's debatable. But flat out insulting him when you yourself are probably some gold player trash is beyond ridiculous.
White Ra: Dimaga is one of the top players and White Ra lost to him. Stop overanalyzing that match.
Idra: Yes, he is BM. People actually still care about this?
ITR/Tester: Yes, they are as good as expected thus far. No, Koreans are not overrated.

Funny dialog at the start of game 3 of Dimaga vs White-Ra on Blistering Sands:
White-Ra: I wonder if you can baneling bust those rocks Dimaga: Of course, but you need about 30 banelings White-Ra: Thats a lot ^^ Dimaga: yeah ^^

I'm sure Chill will be in here to correct me if I'm wrong on this but I don't think cheese means "undefendable." I think that was undoubtedly cheesy play from Dimaga. That said, the people complaining about cheese might not be wrong, but they're definitely being kinda silly. Cheese is a part of the game and people gotta deal with that.

I'm not even sure why that word exists in the first place. It's not a system of points awarded by judges. You win the game, you get the money, nobody can contest the results based on what you did to achieve it.
