listen to what he says instead of how loudly he says it and you'll find day is a million times more enjoyable to listen to.

Yeah I bet Husky and HD were thinking "hmm, we dont know what to say LETS YELL REAL LOUD SO PPL DONT NOTICE" oO
While I can understand your dislike of them with their labeling all of your exits ragequits and generally loving to poke fun at you, i respect their work and commitment to the game. They have brought us a fantastic tournament and have a lot of replays on their youtube channels without getting paid a single dime. You can see that they are enjoying what they are doing and that comes through when they cast.

I love Day9, I think he's incredibly funny and his insights are almost always spot-on. I enjoy the D9D's and I can learn a lot from them, but the cast really sounded like it was a friendly show match and not like there was a potentional 2000$ to be won. Of course I'm sure that this will improve by the finals, I'm just taking note.

No seriously... HDH and especially Husky don't do any real analysis... they just try to hype up whatever is going on. If that's what you prefer then kudos, but otherwise look elsewhere. People have been poking fun at Idra's BM for so long (way before HDH) that I don't think he really cares these 2 newcomers (let alone SC2 newcomers) joining in.

Dimaga dissapointed me. He's one of my favorite zerg players and I expected a lot more out of him. The Dimaga I saw play today was not the Dimaga i know and love. Oh well, at least we still have Idra to represent zerg.
i'd be more apathetic if i weren't so lethargic

And that is bad in what kind of way?

In can honestly say, i enjoy Husky much more than HD, even if he might have less knowledge, but, as a shoutcaster, which he refers to be, thats exactly what i expect.
Some _entertaining_ commentary, kind of reminiscent of those korean commentators, screaming like there is no tomorrow.

You cant honestly compare Day9, who does analysis for the more hardcore-sc2lers (which i deeply love him for <3), with husky/hd, doing it for the broad youtube-community, perhaps encouraging more people to actually play/watch starcraft than any other recent commentator.

Sure, its not nearly as profound as Day9, but otherwise, it does not have to be.

I really enjoyed those 2 games. Very "passionate" cast. And exactly what i expect of him.

But well, i guess its kind of the approach you take watching different commentators. Expecting a day9 everywhere is just plain stupid. You all now those persons are damn rare.

Listen to your own music or start up SC2 in the bg if you feel inclined. No music is good.

I found the TLO v HuK series wonderfully entertaining. Thanks for this tourney Day9, and brilliant idea to spread the casts out over the dark days. Good stuff!

Oh my God intotherainbow just completely destroyed dimaga. This just goes to show how the koreans are going to come and take over the sc2 scene.

Great series. Sadly Dimaga played horribly, though TLO vs HuK was absolutely beasty serie.

Gotta try tune in tonight for the next cast. Sadly it's 5am in most of the Europe when the cast starts, so it's kinda hard. But can't whine, sick job day9!

It doesn't prove anything else than that ittrb played better than Dimaga in 2 games.

I think Dimage just throw away first game without intotherainbow dominating him in any way. If he would have just played more passive after the start he would have been fine.

They both have less knowledge than large numbers of people viewing the stream.
When you're casting the game you're supposed to be enlightening the viewers, otherwise you could simply replace their voices with some exciting music.

We aren't doing the truely great casters (like Day) justice if we accept that anyone with a microphone and the ability to copy the voice off the 10 O'Clock news can cast Starcraft.

Yes it's better than nothing but that's about the biggest praise you can give.

Entertainment and growth of skill are two completely separate things. I watch SC2 commentaries for entertainment and fun. I also watch the daily to grow my minuscule amount of skill at the game, but it is also enjoyable because Sean has such a glowing personality.

You should not be bashing on casters that do it for an audience that you are not a part of. Its the same as folks who like one kind of band, but don't like another because its just not their cup of tea.
I enjoy watching more than playing.
