Creativity was boxer and his amazing micro in his prime.. not a tech switch to battlecruisers while turtling with tanks at your choke point. Oh how i miss those days.. sigh... there will always be one of these 'critics' who acts like he's seen everything before. ok so how many BCs have you seen in pro SC2 games so far? of course TLO has to turtle you putz its called competent strategy. you kind of need it to win high level games? anyways 'creative' doesnt mean flashy micro or crazy all ins. it means trying new BOs and trying to make them work for you. those 2 games were perfect examples of ultra defensive/harass and HuK was simply not prepared for TLO's tactics. you need to chillax and stop being so negative. By your logic your wrong because essentially 'crazy all ins' are alterations of BOs. You just said that TLO had to turtle..WHERE i ask you is there any creativeness in that? If you are going to argue that his tech switch to BC's WHILE turtling was creative than i suggest you just stop now. You lose to turtles alot Im thinking. Like certain other "pros" that scream imba and curse words when the game doesn't play the way they think it should "be played by skilled players." One difference. No one has heard of you so even that minor aspect is missing from your argument. Your just whining because you didn't see the game played the way you expect it should be. Welcome to watching pros.

The TLO/Huk match was not at this high level at all. For example game 2, yes, there were mass BCs and mass Archons. But most of the time both players were sitting at their bases and there was no real action going on. I think one of the Asian guys will take the tournament…

It was actually pretty weird listening to "professional" commentary, since first cast I ever heard was Chill vs Combat-Ex... xP BUUUUTTFUUUUUUCKKK!!! <3 Is Day[9] a Gemini?! xD

Though, I just wanted to note that you said DIMAGA is a Russian player, while he's from Ukraine actually (unless he's a Russian Ukrainian, which is possible) on a bunch occasions. You also said HuK is one of the economically oriented Protoss players, while he in fact is one of the most 1-base centered players around (unless I misheared you saying that). ;p Really enjoyed it anyway. Looking forward to the upcoming games. Wondering how Koreans will fare in the tournament.

White-ra is actually more "creative" in my opinion, but we don't see like 8 billion people yelling about how creative and groundbreaking white-ra is, just that he is solid. But anyways, TLO is an amusing player to watch, which is why he has so many fans. I don't blame anyone for liking him, as I too enjoy the crap out of watching him. I just think its taken a little too far at times.

Dimaga's games were kind of disappointing. Thanks for upload the games that fast.

I really expected more of HuK but so far i have not seen one player actually fight off reaper / cloak banshee harassment without substantial losses and/or total loss of map control. I think they should be nerfed (srlsy the dmg on those o.o) as now almost all terrans rely on them to support their turtling with tanks. Makes for boring games :/ (watch the Star2gether Clan Invitational of oGs vs. i think Prime where Ensnare 5-0'd them) Edit: i also think the games should be live casted (without a stream) and recorded and then streamed at a later date. With the HDH we could really see the commentators get excited whereas i found Day9 to be lacking in the enthusiasm department, merely describing what was going on.

It was accurate, it was professional, and it was articulate. I haven't had a ton of exposure to Day9's casting, and i've gotta say, he is one of the best casters i've had the pleasure to listen to. This has to be said. Commentating was very good. Day9 knows his stuff so he can give on-the-spot analysis. And I really loved all five games. Even though the ITTR games were onesided slaughter, he did show he knew his stuff about dealing with early pressure. And the TLO games were just a marvel to look at as always. EDIT: Oh yeah this probably won't happen but I'll ask anyway, will be the replays be released soon? I guess this doesn't happen to make everyone watch the casts (rightfully so) but it would be nice to have the reps to check out stuff that wasn't caught on camera.

I think they're just going to be casted live, not played. Live as in front of many people. You would need the game up on the 26th because the party is a countdown so the tournament will be "played" until 23h59 on the 26th. Edit: or maybe Im wrong and the games will be played right at the release time but I guess not, I stand by my initial claim ![]() I just watched the group B (because its the first one that shows in the blip think) and in the end day9 spoils the group A ![]() ![]()

Yeah I bet Husky and HD were thinking "hmm, we dont know what to say LETS YELL REAL LOUD SO PPL DONT NOTICE" oO While I can understand your dislike of them with their labeling all of your exits ragequits and generally loving to poke fun at you, i respect their work and commitment to the game. They have brought us a fantastic tournament and have a lot of replays on their youtube channels without getting paid a single dime. You can see that they are enjoying what they are doing and that comes through when they cast. I love Day9, I think he's incredibly funny and his insights are almost always spot-on. I enjoy the D9D's and I can learn a lot from them, but the cast really sounded like it was a friendly show match and not like there was a potentional 2000$ to be won. Of course I'm sure that this will improve by the finals, I'm just taking note.

Can we stop with the nerf this nerf that tirade? I could easily say the same argument about 3 hatch muta into lurker into defiler TvZ Sc1. Zerg's strategy was centered around using mutas to harass and keep the Terran in his base then use lurkers to further stall the Terran, sunk if needed, then finally break out with defilers. Would you say that's boring? Instead of calling for nerfs people need to fucking look at how to play the game.
