yeah sry I ninja edit'd, as removing it would be too far. But it's still a very boring unit.
I've played terrans like qxc, kawaiirice and louder on ladder. I also played moonglade's terran once. I lost to qxc's marine/hellion rush into cloak banshee which I'd never seen before. Weird cause I did the same build Whitera did vs him (fast stargate) but I got obliterated. Probably didn't help that I got a phoenix first instead of void ray lol. I beat Kawaiirice because I got one void ray. Not that exciting imo.

That last game was disgusting, and boring.
+ Show Spoiler +TLO's will to derail from standard plays killed him. Not opening with mass marines is way too risky given how retarded VRs are... The most ridiculous thing being protoss can easily survive the very agressive reaper/hellion opening TLO did while still rushing for VR.

If you want longer games, you should perhaps be wondering why The Little One didn't play it safer. Going with a fast CC or Helion/Reaper is risky.

Fantastic series! I was absolutely shocked Tester survived for so long in game 2. I thought it was GG when he lost the first Nexus. Man! Motherships, Nukes, Battle Cruisers. WOW!!!!!!!!!!

About the last game, + Show Spoiler +I think the close positions on this map are just one of the shortest air distances in the whole map pool, so that's why the void gay tactic worked significantly better than usual vs TLO. Great decision by Tester to exploit that, and there was just little to do. I wonder whether TLO thought immediately about possible void ray abuse incoming when he first scouted Tester's position.

Man that poor viking, you just can't let a charged void ray touch you if you're armored. If TLO even had a couple marines at home to keep the VR from charging up before the viking was out, maybe things would have been different? Or if that SCV saw the stargate right away instead of walking off... I dunno, that wasnt cheeseful - TLO wasn't incapable of pushing it out if things went even the slightest bit differently.
Edit: I also think a more classic marine hellion push would have been more effective than a reaper (he'd have like ... 3 or 4 marines in the time it took to get 1 reaper?)

Really hoping TLO beats idra tomorrow, I'd rather see TLO get a chance to rematch vs Tester than watch idra get decimated again by him (yes I know idra thinks he can beat Tester, but right now, hes what, 0-4 vs him?)

I have to agree with Wargizmo. Void Rays are quite easy to stop as Terran. TLO simply neglected the threat of air and got punished. I wouldn´t call it bad play by TLO though. You have to be bold and take some risks from time to time, esspecially in a tournament. It can be very rewarding but sometimes it backfires. I think it will take a very long time until more solid openings will be discovered. Although I have to say the "marine ghost opening" feels quite solid to me already, but i might be totally wrong on that.
Game 2 was easily one of the top 3 games i have seen in the whole Beta. Loved it! Thanks Day9 for making this awesome tournament. Good stuff...

In the 3rd game, he gambled again by going with the helion/reaper build. If you want longer games, you should perhaps be wondering why The Little One didn't play it safer.
tlo knows that he would not beat tester on a standard long game...
the only reason why he took that second set was becasue he got that early snipe on the nexus. i love how most kids on here dont even realize what is what
