I would really like to see custom maps, there are a lot of good ones that we never get to see played at a high level. Maybe having maps 1,2,3 and 5 set the same for every match but the 4th cycle through a few exciting, balanced custom maps every time? I think it would be a good way to support the map-making community and show that custom maps are just as good, if not better than the Blizzard standard ones, as it was in BW.
Also, if you are having live, commentated games everyday it might get a bit dreary doing the same maps over and over. Implementing at least a few good custom maps would really spice things up imo.

I downloaded Ep7 State of the Game this morning (Friday, July 9th) from iTunes at 8 AM PDT.
On topic, yet another professional foray into the world of eSports and SC2. I'm definitely ready for the SC2 blitz we will see in the next 10 days. In regards to adding new maps, one custom map into the rotation would be a boom for the map makers and it would give MLG an edge compared to the other tournaments occuring.

Yeah, I think JP is one of the people I'd never call lazy. It's pretty much a two-man operation he seems to be running for the MLG with him and his mysterious cameraman/producer setting up all this SC2 stuff. Day9 keeps teasing about how awesome these games are, so I can't wait. At the very least we'll have something to keep us busy when the beta goes down again.

As for posting VODS, i suspect they will post them atleast daily inbetween the end of Phase two and Release, not to forget Shawn's Countdown Party. During this Beta uptime content really is in no short supply so i actually think this would be a good move by MLG.

I have no clue what kind of prep goes into these videos but this is getting a bit rediculous.
I've been checking this thread since it was introduced and still nothing. Maybe when the king of the beta stuff isn't competition you will show them? I eally hope that they are showed before the release of retail, I think alot of ppl will lose interest in beta games at that point.

Don't get me wrong I will watch them anyways. Just with the SC2 downtime it would be nice to have them now. No biggie, don't take what I said there too serious I'm just playing around!

JP seems competent and proactive. MLG seems stagnant and corporate.
A better company just needs to pick up JP for his dope content. MLG isn't worthy.
EDIT: What I'm saying is that I'd rather have MLG than nothing, but I'd rather have pretty much anyone else doing it instead.

Videos are being uploaded as I type this. Thanks everyone for your interest -- had to cut some corners, etc, so I apologize.
Due to some issues we had to cut the LzGaMeR vs. drewbie series down to 1 match but its 55 minutes long -- the other matches were just as long too. Sorry to both the players and you everyone in this thread. I'll try to get the replays posted somewhere so you can at least watch them yourself if you wish.
Also, in the CauthonLuck vs. SLush match, the last match was missing 3 minutes of audio so I will have to post the replay for this as well. Sadly the last game wasn't impressive or exciting so you aren't missing much.
Most likely all 10 matches should be uploaded tomorrow by 2pm EST. I apologize for the delay on all of this. I'll begin posting in the OP and make posts in the thread as they finish uploading / YouTube renders em.
There is no way all the hype could live up to the actual product, so I apologize. Big thanks to Diggity, iNcontrol and Day[9] for helping me cast all this, my producer, Singlecoil, for recording, editing, and publishing these videos all by himself, and wrags (aka john) for doing the camera work.

Watching the qxc vs Suggy now, and they look great. High quality watching, the commentary feels solid and entertaining. The banter-ish joke during Desert Oasis with the "Banshee/Hellion" mistake added a little fun character that, honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing more of. I'll be showing these to everyone I can and hopefully have an impact on the viewer count :o

Just wanted to chime in and say I love incontrols commentary so much. He is like husky mixed with day9 cuz he is hilarious and gives very insightful commentary. I want to eat his weiner right now. Thanks dude I appreciate that I am trying to get better too!

i hope they are up soon, these showmatches have all been very fun and awesome so far.
And yeah that mothership rush build was really weird but it did look smooth, he had just enough to build a mothership when the fleet beacon was done, which amazed me because that would imply he actually thought and tried out this build. Or of course his mechanics and improvisation is awesome after forgetting to build his gateway XD.

If you have access to your YouTube channel, it will give you three options for the thumbnail, from the beginning, middle, and end. Just edit the video and see if there is a better, less revealing one. =)

I was just thinking of ways to get to do what HuK did in game 3 vs Pinder. I was thinking of going gas first before the gateway, but never ended up trying it. So glad to see it work once. That was a very great game and very well played by HuK.
Slowly making my way through all the games and they are just all fantastic. Good job to JP and MLG

You know if incontrol scouted the bust and put his 2nd gate infront of his forward pylon would he have held off the bust? I don't see how toss can make enough units to prevent that bust when they don't have a ramp to forcefield.
