Hello TL.net,
Team Funtastic is currently searching for some new members to their squad, to compete and become more well known in the community. This tournament is for all you higher end platinum players 1600+ ELO/points, that are not yet in a team to make yourselves stick out.
For those of you not sure who we are, Team Funtastic has been around since sc1, and has always been known for our good manners and competitiveness, we enjoy the game and are always looking for new ways to succeed. Some of our better known players are blades.fun, everytime.pls. We just started playing some friendly clan wars, our first was just recently versus Team Inflow, and we have another coming up versus Team EG and will be playing more in the future. If all this sounds exciting too you please sign up and show us your skills!
The Format:
+ Show Spoiler +Looking to get 32 people, 0 slots open with 4 backup slots left. All rounds will be Bo3, with the finals being Bo5. All replays will be e-mailed to jramir3z88@yahoo.com. Each match will begin on Lost Temple with the loser choosing the next map. No maps can be played twice in a single series. Admins will be Roar.fun and blades.fun, waffles.fun, kyadytim.fun. Admins have the right to obs games, and of course all caster/streamers have the right to obs as well.
The tournament will take place Monday May, 24th at 6:30 EST and will go until the tournament is over, unless another day is needed for completion. (Sign-ups end Sunday night 11:00 pm EST, or when we get 32 people).
You will have to show up 15 minutes before hand, and just message an admin in game. If for some reason you are running late we will allow you 15 minutes, after sign-up time, to show up until giving your spot away to a back-up.
Casters:
Orb will be casting the tournament if all goes as planned and he isn't called into work at the last minute.
GLHF.tv will also be casting the tournament!

Might want to make the time of the tournament more visible. I'll talk to some of our streamers about possibly streaming the earlier rounds, but as we have our own event starting the same day at a later time I doubt we would be able to cover the later rounds.

I just want to clarify for people that only join if you are actually interested in joining team funtastic that is the main purpose of this tournament perhaps in the future we can host tournaments for everyone to join with a cash prize but this is just so that if you win the tournament you not only get in the team but get 25$ richer .
Another note is we will be wanting to obs a lot of the games in the tournaments in case even if you lose you may get an invite as winning is great and we want good players we aren't necessarily looking for omg best player ever I mean that's a + but that isn't our main goal.
The main goal is to expand our team a bit from 8-10 active sc2 players into a better team that is active (and preferably uses vent as we have a 25 man vent).

hmmm he is in the clan actually. I will be having a talk I don't see him doing something like this but I won't rule out the possibility so I will have to talk to him to see if he did. I also can't just go by your word (not saying your lying or anything) so if he does deny it unless you got others I am not really sure how I can be sure of if he did it or not.

So I want to give you guys an update on how we are picking people from this tournament to join.
You do not have to win the tournament to get into this team just a heads up as I know some of you probably really do want to be in a team so just because you don't win does not mean you are automatically dismissed.
We will be obs'ing games (there should be about 4 or so funtastic members so we can obs alot and all that fun stuff). We hope to be able to select a good amount of players as it would be great for not only practice partners but meeting new people and learning a lot and also good to discuss problems your having in your gameplay and all that.
So I hope most of you who are signing up are actually looking for a team and not just joining for the 25$ we are also giving up thanks to roar.
Should be a fun tournament can't wait for it to start

I actually go on vacation for the weekend with my girlfriend (24th being a holiday in canada) i'll be leaving the airport and rushing back to my apt to make my 10pm match but I usually play till 2 ~ 3 am so anything late is good.

I joined the sa channel years ago and it was nice, there were games on bw to be had. I joined a clan when nobody on irc was playing anymore and I just hung out time to time, always looking for a game. And then on the whim of a jackass, all hell breaks loose and I still have no idea why.

When the tournament starts or about to PM your opponent here on TL and swap e-mails (pming me or grroar or adding me on tb_nicholas@hotmail.com would be nice as well because we do want to obs games in case we find some players who we think should be in the team even if they lose). Thank you too bad blizzard kind of fucked this up a little bit hope they fix it soon but until then hope this tournament still works good!

No not at all just msg us sometime after the tournament and we can watch you play against some of our team members and all that fun stuff so we can see.
We realize we won't be able to obs every game sadly so we do want everybody to know that even if they lose the first round that does not mean you have no chance to join as stuff happens. This tournament is for fun as well as a recruiting process and again if people really want to join they can add me or any other funtastic member and we will gladly play games, see how you are, see if your a cool guy (we have kicked a few assholes out of the clan in the past which isn't fun xD).
So yeah don't worry this isn't the only way to be recruited its good to know that alot of the people do seem to want to join so that makes this tournament that much more exciting for us .

Well the good thing is there really aren't any well known players here and we will have a couple streamers (orb unless he gets called in to work, and glhf.tv) along with many funtastic members we hope to try to watch as many games as we can but we wont' have 16 people online to watch all the matches so you never know we may watch you ^^.

thanks for getting ahold of him! Saracen backed-out of the tournament so we will have Marf replacing him! I'll make the change on the bracket once I'm home near my computer. All backups have given me their emails but I'm still missing some of the starters emails. Backups please be ready Monday as you have a very high chance of getting in.

Also I made all final changes I'm going to make up until the tournament/bracket. The last replacement that needs to be made that has been confirmed yet is Orrick, which most likely will happen right before the tournament starts. Yes the admins have all the e-mails except a few who are probably dropping out or something but we still have more then enough for 32 players so you may have a replacement.
The plan when the tournament starts is we are going to invite all the players into a chat room so you can add who you need to add and start your games.
Just show up and you should be good to go make sure you pm'd grroar with your e-mail and gl to everybody who plays tonight!
It also seems that Bnet has been fixed according to a lot of people which is excellent news lets hope it stays this way through the whole tournament!

Bumping just to say the tournament is over after some issues at the start we were able to finish.
The winner is Murder who 3-1'd moman. Vods should be up soon from both streamers I would imagine and a replay pack will be up for the whole tournament! (well we should assuming everyone has been sending them)
Thanks all casters (glhf.tv and orb) for streaming! Thanks everybody for sticking through even with some problems with bnet this tournament ran pretty well considering all the issues bnet is having and hope you all enjoyed!
