And Day[9] is casting a shitload of tournaments. would be awesome if he did this one as well though.

Your "replays" which are actually vod's are stolen as well. I'm sure people don't even mind you listing their recordings (more hits, yay) but some of this is just not cool. For example;
"Author Username StErMi" on http://www.glhf.it/replay/40/EU vs Asia - Strelok vs Check Game 4.html is not cool. You should at least credit the people you're taking from and make it clear day9/gretorp are the authors.
We love the effort you're making, the more tournaments the better, and I'm sure the Italian community appreciates it. But between stealing the name, not crediting people for their content and claiming you're the author and swiping images off other pages.. I mean, what am I supposed to say?

Makes no mention of the people that actually produced it though, that's the problem. He just said they'll add it, so that's just fine. And because it still gives the right people the page hits/views, I'm sure there's no harm done. The commentators should definitely be listed though.

Well hey, I'm all for his efforts. We for one love it when our vods are linked all over the place, but it's better to sort this stuff out now rather than later. To improve, how about actually watching for harass drops, reading up about general strategy (as he seems clueless), checking out players bases for tech trees, and oh I don't know actually watching the battles.
Right now he's just randomly sweeping across the map missing most of the action in the games. I mean please, somehow not even noticing that ultra's were coming up. How do you miss that pffft.

Sigh, just changed it to the Russian stream, the camera man is definitely better. I mean, why the hell would you look at white-ra's base when there's nothing going on meanwhile TLO is trying to attack white-ra's harrassing stalkers. Sorry if I sound bm but I'm just frustrated at this bad camera job.

On retrospect, I'm thinking it might have been better to just pull scv to kill the pylon instead of moving bases. It was very entertaining but given the early vision on the gates, he could have really just neutered the proxy without losing mining time.

White-Ra should decline the rematch and ignore the stupid rules of the tournament, when you disconnect when you are LOSING BADLY you should not be able to replay the game.

People's internet disconnects sometimes, it happens to everyone. That's why major events are played at a LAN, and not online.

I think TLO was very ahead on the 1st disconnect, and that game was even on 2nd disconnect.
I also won't be surprised if White-Ra disconnects vs Machine today, too. Guess what, a good chance that'll happen when he's ahead ;/.
But the FF's on hydras imo bought him enough time to techswitch and he was totally in the game. By the time main'd be mined out, 3rd would be ready and contain would be broken. With 3rd ready and main mined out it would immediately be saturated, too and the colossi production'd keep constant. The important part - the gas - would still remain.

He had plenty of time to expand before going for this *Im gonna burn my units on a well defended base* play, mis-microing his units. There were times when White-Ra had all but 4 Stalkers with TLO easily doubling his army, yet TLO did not run in. Well, I hope with time his decision making will improve, too often did he just suicide units.

I'm curious did the caster missed something of the action? TLO had like 2 queens at his gold, counting from the amount of tumors, and later when the caster looked at the expansion TLO had no queen there. Did white-ra kill them, or what happend?

Great series, excellent sportsmanship shown by TLO. To question the DC's is fruitless, as no one can ever know, I saw the machine match yesterday too, even though all 3 games were in his opponents favor it still cannot prove anything, a coin can be flipped 100 times and still land on the same side every flip, improbable yes, but not impossible. For a player of White-Ra's caliber to DC in a beta tournament with such a small prize seems preposterous.

What do you think was TLOs intentions in leaving those spines undefended? Did anyone see if he had researched drop or what was he planning moving them units down south? I was at the edge of the seat wondering what TLO was planning, and then it all died.

Good games, but it certainly is a shame that TLO had reasonable to very large leads in all 3 games that white-ra dropped from ( not counting that 4th one that occurred in the first moments ).
TLO definitely fell into his too-many-support units style he seems to love a little too much in the Lost Temple game, really need to nydus or drop for pressure, but he still made it entertaining to flail around and barely survive with all of those infestors.
I can't believe he lost that steppes of war game, once he had the 2 gateways killed in white-ra's base I couldn't figure out why he didn't just send another scv down to bunker forward. Was intense!
Just a note for the commentator, it was ok ( certainly not bad ), but you were often missing action going on around the map, make sure to keep checking that mini-map, use the production tab instead of moving the vision from the battle to see what is being made in specific gateways and don't be afraid to jump into the player cameras every now and again to get a feel of where the side focuses of the game are.
I feel like a lot of the commentators aren't making good use of the tabs, often trying to count units with their eyes instead of just using the army tab or trying to figure out if they're making a building and scanning around the map, instead of just using the production tab.

One of the best series so far, short games, long games, great variety of strats including some rarely seen. TLO definitely got screwed by the disconnects, which is unfortunate, but the games themselves were great.

First off I just wanna say thank you for everyone that tuned in to the english commentary.
Second, I wanna apologize for missing some of the action. Yes, I am colorblind, so it is easy to miss some action. I don't want it to be an excuse, and I know I can improve with some time. Yes I may repeat things every now and then as well.
I have only been doing this for a month now. I have lots of room to grow, and please keep criticism constructive. (Yes I know that's a little much to ask for since this IS the internet).
A majority of my games have been play by play casted, where I miss much less action, and focus more. After some suggestions, I have switched to more of an analysis style, and am having trouble balancing both aspects. It will come in time, and if you can stand my voice, I ask you to hang tight as I get some more experience.

In case you didn't know, he had to start somewhere too With more time and events, and a little more than a month under my belt, I will not miss stuff like those drops. Outside of the drops, I'm trying to think what else I would have missed. Can you recall to give me some pointers?

Liked the commentaries, ofcource there is some aspects that can be improved, but this is the fact with most of the casters.
My constructive (hopefully) critics on the casting is : Analyze more, first 2 rounds was mostly like having "audio replay" From what I have seen here, you have started doing that, great
Maybe consider getting a co-caster. Might just be my personal preference, but I seem to enjoy dualcasts more then singlecasts.
Keep it going, more good casters in the community is good news for me !
Tournement feedback; I think this was a greatly run tournement, its updated frequently, vods appear superfast, nice playerpool and good commentating, and I especially liked that you provided streams in different languages, brings out the games to an even broader audience.
A shame that this didnt get more attention, unfortunately, I guess its because if the prizepool, because in my opinion everything else went smooth.

I'm sure he'll edit the post when he sees it. He meant no harm, I know he stayed up all night cutting and editing the videos so probably just did not think about it. But I can see why you would be rightfully upset, he should have asked; when I see him I'll ask him to delete the post, just saying there was no ill-will. Btw all vods seem to say GLHF.IT with the dots (titles are in caps), also there are links to glhf site in the articles.

You should specify this moment in the rules for next tounaments in order not to get misunderstandings like this. (for example - any other vods can be sheared only with 12 hours delay after you release your ones). The most part of visitors at white-ra.com (over 3k) are from Russia and Ukraine, so they are interested in streams and vods in russian and you can't ignore them.
I hope you'll consider all of these before the next tournament and we won't have discussions like this one. All we did was for the community not for ourselves, sorry for inconvenience.

Thanks for an awesome tournament! Just watched the finals, seriously some of the best SC2 action of the whole beta imo.
+ Show Spoiler +Bit sad that TLO didn't get to take it ofc...the eternal almost-winner of the beta! And after that insane sudden base switch on Steppes of War too But - if there's anyone that deserves to beat him it's White-Ra. These two really have been the top rivals of the beta, at least for me, still remembering that epic matchup they had back in February or someting, on Metalopolis...really coming full circle with match 5 of the finals! So yeah, awesome way indeed to say goodbye to the beta ^^
Schicky, you did an awesome job imo. Day9 and others may have tons more experience and ability to deep analyze on the fly, but I thought you were very good at keeping your calm/flow throughout and also at not exagerrating too much and repeating superlatives over and over like honestly almost all the other casters do. (Including you Day9 ) Looking forward to future casts.
A suggestion for the organizers (and to all other organizers as well tbh):
- Make an effort to update VOD status/links in the OP of the tournament thread as soon as they are available - with spoiler links (like in the small vod thread). Surely most viewers will be watching these matches in their VOD form, even though many are able to catch the live shows. And searching for vods on youtube or reading through the thread to find info will inevitably lead to spoilers. Getting the vod links up properly would just make the whole thing so much more appealing to your audience.
Ofc there's also the issue of all the spectators. During the epic final game.....I don't know if that sonic dude really needed to be there or what, but fucks sake.... I just don't understand why so many specs are needed during a tournament game, same thing has happened during other beta tourneys.
Anyway, just my 2 cents. Thanks again for an epic tournament
