7 out of 8 of the semifinalists were zerg and 4 out of 4 of the quarter finalists

I don't know how you can avoid that, at least from Asian players.

The last few games I've watched from Dimaga in this WC and some other tournaments have made me a fan. I know that he cheated and is still being punished (and I agree with it, the fact that he is a great player doesnt give him the right to cheat) for that but in the back of my mind, he could have been very useful in those euro vs asia matches. (not to say the current lineup isnt made of great players, its just that he should have had a place there if it werent for the temp ban)

Nonetheless, great play from him! Hope he keeps this great form in the future!

I think if Newlife wins his next matchup hes going to win the tournament.
I know that TheLittleOne picked a bad map for zvp and picked a bad build for steppes tvp but him getting 2-0d is a pretty big signal imo.

Dimaga was probably so successful against xaoit the first 2 games because he played like whitera. Newlife is really aggressive 1 base, which is what protoss is most strong with right now.

Dimaga has just had a much easier road than the other EU players. He would not have won against the players TLO and HayPro lost to. Dimaga actually lost twice in his group play and went 1-2 against lesser opponents.
