No offense to painuser, ive played customs with him and he's a nice guy, but he has no place in this tourny.... He's neither skilled or known enough

And it's still in beta, there is plenty of time for unknown people to make a name for themselves.

You just want people to tune in and see your brand name. A huge open entry tournament might be of greater interest to the esports community, but as far as getting a sponsor's name out there, a small invite-only tournament produces the same results with a much smaller investment. is no one else confused by the sponsor? I mean unless they are going to create a sc2/tl app they have no real connection to the gaming world. At least for the Poker Strategy TSL, poker/sc have had a connection for quite awhile, but some random iphone related site seems quite odd. But oh well, as long as it produces a decent turny with good games thats what matters i guess.

IE Visa/Mastercard endorsing the NFL or Honda endorsing a sitcom on television. The more mainstream Starcraft 2 becomes, the better! Plus so many people own iphones/ipods/itouch etc. I believe there's already somebody in this thread who has voiced their approval of the product our sponsor represents.

Posts 3463 PM Profile Blog Quote [/bold] [/bold] so some of us less-well-known players have a shot There are invited people a lot less known than me and I got denied... Yeah but you know what I mean, the tsl2 open ladder was fun, and it still ended up with the top players in the ro16, but everyone in the community could have fun pushing their skills(and abusing :D) to try to get in. My disappointment aside, looking forward to an awesome tournament! Gl to the participants!

So what if you're high on the ladder? I guarantee you if anyone on that list that's invited right now played 400 games since the reset they would be in the top 10 of the US server, you're accomplishment really doesn't mean much to anyone until you perform well in tournaments or get your name out there some other way (eg: orb and streaming, if he didn't stream i guarantee you there is no way in hell his name would be on this list, but, because he has people that follow his stream and enjoy watching him -> more viewers for his games -> sponsors happy). play the gosucoaching tournies, do well, and you're name will get out there and you will start getting invited
